Congress Shut down......

But the VP called the national guard, even though he's not supposed to be able to do that ...

Pence has confirmation from half the cabinet that they're onboard for invoking the 25th when Pence sees fit.  Now Pence can hold that over Trump's head for the next 12 days and the SecDef knows where the real orders come from.
No wonder Trump is suddenly acting like a kept man.  He probably is one.

Kayleigh McEnany has made a career out of a belligerent and petty disregard for truth.
Opens her first press conference and demands that members of the press answer her questions before she answers theirs.
That is not the correct relationship, and it is not what people committed to truth do.  That's what people who are trying to start a cult of personality do.  Socrates asked a lot of questions, yes, but he didn't refuse to answer if questions were asked of him.
So, uh, take that tweet and shove it.

This is the 2nd time today your posts have been called out with a physical blatant rebuttal with video or picture proof. Take a break and go for a walk and come back fresh.

You really believe anything that comes out of her vacuum cleaner?

Every article I’ve seen from every remotely reliable source and everything I’ve seen televised (and I mostly watch Fox News these days) has said that Trump didn’t want to involve the NG, and it was actually Pence who made the call.

Not that it really matters, but a segment on FOX Business Network was with one of the White House people (I don't remember who it was) and said that the National Guard being deployed was authorized by President Trump after taking the advice from his advisors.  One of those advisors could have been the Vice President (I don't know) but either way President Trump authorized it.

The media wants gullible people like mikesez to think that Vice President Pence "overrode" President Trump.  It's simply not true.

Or falsely memorializing him to support their positions. The willingness of posters on this board to utilize a person's unfortunate death to emphasize their point is over-the-top. That lady made a choice. A bad choice. What's that got to do with the posters here?

In anticipation of your response, I will say this: Trump is not responsible for her death in the same way Bernie Sanders wasn't when one of his supporters shot up an RNC softball game, or when a BLM supporter shot 4 police officers after Barrack Obama wouldn't tamp down his rhetoric. This stuff happens all the time, but people are responsible for their own anger. Politicians should, as a general rule, not stoke the flames. For this, I think Trump pushed too far, and he's being held accountable. But, there's a difference between directly calling for violence and stoking flames.

Let's look at what Trump actually said:

"And after this, we're going to walk down there, and I'll be there with you, we're going to walk down ... to the Capitol and we are going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women," Trump told the crowd. "And we're probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them. Because you'll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong. We have come to demand that congress do the right thing, and only count the electors that have been lawfully slated. I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard. Today, we will see if Republicans stand strong for the integrity of our elections."

Like all things Trump, this is a poorly designed choice of words, that sends mixed messages and allows people to hear what they want to hear. He definitely stoked the flames and the people's animosity, but he did SPECIFICALLY call for a peaceful protest. He also deployed the national guard and condemned any violence once it occurred. You can think he dog whistled if you want, but, in truth, I think he was just trying to pressure Republicans to do what he felt was right, by showing them how many of their supporters thought fraud took place (I believe it would have been unconstitutional for Republicans to try to circumvent the electoral process, for the record). However, it backfired. This is Trump at his worst.

But, I think the posters here using this lady's death to shame Trump supporters is them at their worst. So, take that however you want to take it.

Respectfully disagree.  Political speech is important, even incendiary political speech.  That's not incendiary.  Trumps said wsy worse stuff than that.  No reasonable person takes that to mean break windows.  That's anger @ an organic level that has as much to do with trumps rhetoric as it does with the actual 4 am vote dumps and counties having non linear/negative reported turnout.

I blame Trump because he had a motive!
Bernie Sanders' time in office wouldn't have been extended if there were more victims at that softball practice.
Barack Obama's time in office wasn't extended when those four officers in Dallas were gunned down.  It wouldn't have been extended if that man had shot more police.  It wouldn't have been extended if that man led a mob of 1000 men through Dallas and made the cops retreat.
If those insurrectionists at the Capitol had succeeded in capturing or killing members of Congress, it could have extended Trump's time in office

Your examples don't work.
No examples from this country work.  You have to look at Russia or Ukraine or Serbia or the Phillippines or Egypt to understand what happened on Wednesday, to understand what Trump was trying to do and why he is to blame.

You still don't know what Ukraine was about?  My gosh man.  Pay attention.

Quick question, if the senate is locked in debate over every single elector before a certain time, what happens

I refer to the Maidan Revolt of 2014.
The stuff Trump thought would implicate Biden happened after that.

Their argument is that the riot to take over congress was developed on Parler. It’s just another way to stop conservatives from being able to speak. Twitter is also banning a bunch of other conservative people too right now.

If only trump could have played it cool last year, (2020) he would have got re-elected. Then after he didnt play it smooth and he lost, if only he could have not incited a riot,  he could have went out a lot better than hes going out now. . What a fall smh. He is getting blacked balled now from everywhere.
