What’s next for Watson?
|
I dont understand why some argue the Texans may be involved. This doesnt help them at all. Why would any team trade for a huge investment like Watson if his 2021 season, if not career, is potentially in jeopardy.

That does happen of course, but it looks increasingly like he has skeletons in his closet. Have we even heard everything? Lots of people just don't want that their idols should be bad people. Others don't realize how much is swept under the rug. Isiah Wilson is a FA now even though there were zero red flags - at least in public. Quite clearly something was wrong and I find it real hard to believe any team wouldn't have known what he was really like. If not and even NFL teams can be fooled then don't expect any player's public persona to be believable. n As for this specific case I don't know and will wait for the courts decision. I just don't know and won't pretend I do. (03-23-2021, 12:18 PM)rfc17 Wrote: I dont understand why some argue the Texans may be involved. This doesnt help them at all. The thought is that by killing his value, he will drop his trade demands because he has no where to go. The Texans then keep him and he has to play.

Another conspiracy is that Easterby saw what kind of person Watson is and tried to intervene triggering the trade request. It's rumored that Easterby has contacted parents of a star player and being concerned. It's not hard to connect dots for those so inclined.

So that's why they were adamant about not trading him because they knew that other teams would be pissed if they were shopping him around and all this came out. Might also be the reason Watt left. Watt probably got wind of this and wanted no part of Watson. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
It's up to 24 accusers and 14 lawsuits. One said she thinks he is a serial predator

While I am no fan of his I kind of feel bad for the guy. IF any of these allegations are true then perhaps he needs some kind of psychiatric help. More and more it looks more to me like it's a sleazy lawyer trying to get a "payday" by ruining his career and reputation in the media.

The only people he had on his side were his fans in Houston. Now they cant even stand him, im courious to see if his girl stays with him

Destroy his reputation and career without any evidence or facts. All you need is a group of gullible girls to say that he "asked for a happy ending" and promise to pay them. In the end the lawyer gets a huge payday, the gullible girls get a few easy bucks and you destroy a man's career. I don't know if he did the things that are claimed against him or not, but I'll assume that he is innocent until proven guilty. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. That being said, I'm not aware of anyone close to him coming to his defense and saying that the whole thing is absurd. That may or may not be legal, but seems like we would hear something positive if none of this was possible. innocent until proven guilty, tho. It will be interesting moving forward.

Watson is done and his lawyer is an idiot. He just admitted before even getting to court that one of these massages happened and that Watson wanted oral sex, asked for it, and got it. He claims the woman did it willingly and then later asked for $30,000 to stay silent.
https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20...blackmail/ The idiot just confirmed and established the pattern and there are up to 23 other women out there telling the same story. They may win a battle but definitely lose the war if he keeps this lawyer. He is done in the NFL. Sent from my SM-T970 using Tapatalk

He tryed to paint this like a circus and chop at the lawyers creditably but then gives support to his case by publicly referencing a case that before his statement wasn’t really in the public spotlight. He would have been better off buying time by continuing to deny and remain silent. The prosecution may looked like a circus before, now it looks like he is scrambling. A lot of people seemed to be holding back thinking the whole thing was a sham. But when one thing turns out to have merit, it makes you wonder how much more is coming. I never saw the Texans imploding quite like this. (03-24-2021, 01:16 AM)JagsorDie Wrote:And even if he wins the lawsuits, he has a black eye for the NFL with him using Instagram to hired escorts. Look at what happened to previous players and you have 20+ women in this case. I'm thinking the whole trade was him trying to get traded and get a new deal with upfront money before this leaked. The Texans would be better off by trading him and getting a 1st round pick so I don't see them leaking it. They had to have known if they keep tabs on their star players. Some people are just stupid but hey he hangs out with Ramsey and we saw what type of great human he is. Sent from my SM-T970 using Tapatalk |
