Kinda sucks for him. I thought he was going to be a decent backup anyway. COVID really derailed his career.

I hope he has healed from Covid and can find another roster spot somewhere. I think he has talent.

What exactly happened to him? I've only heard lingering impact from covid but never anything specific.

Could be cardiomyopathy or pulmonary embolus. Secondarily he could’ve also had a stroke. All things we’ve seen with some of the younger patients. Additionally, if he had bad covid pneumonia, we’ve seen quite a few patients reflect a fibrotic lung disease and not come off of oxygen at home. He could have permanent lung damage.

I thought he was a long shot to make the team anyway, so this was pretty expected.

Ryquell has been picked up by the Giants. I wish him the best. His TD catch from Gardner is definitely one of my favorite TDs. I feel bad he was dealt a rough blow from COVID and that derailed his season last year. But I hope he has had or will have a good recovery from it.

He was a player that I considered on the bubble.  If healthy, I thought he had a decent shot at earning a roster spot.  Not a big surprise though.
