Absurd Recurds - Team Records in a game that probably won’t be broken

291 requires skill, a good qb, a game that is still in doubt for 60 min, and some luck

291 is basically FOUR 75-yd TDs in one game. To one player.

Only way it happens is if you're giving up the same obscene amounts of yards/TDs to the opposing team. If you're destroying a defense that badly, chances are once you are up by a few scores the team starts grinding clock, and the record remains unbroken.

Not going to say it can't happen. There's plenty of guys that are fast enough and elusive enough to turn a ten yard pass into a 60-yard gain. However, unless Todd Wash gets another DC job, I dunno that any defense is going to allow the same player and the same play to repeatedly beat them for an entire game.

Recurds?

Whey to go on that thread title, OP

Hey non-op it’s a shout out to my sons favorite YouTube channel. I bet there is atleast 1 person that knows why I put the title like that.

The Ravens gave up a total of 23 points in 4 playoff games that year vs the Broncos (3), Titans (10), Raiders (3), and Giants (7) --- crazy

That Defense held opposing teams to 10 points or less in 15 of their 20 total games that season. It was one of the best Defenses in NFL History.

That's crazy to think they could do that.  Conversely, the Jags of 2020 gave up an average of 30 points per game with their best defensive production coming in week 1 vs Indy in which they gave up 20 points.  492 total points by our opponents.

He was a premier shut down corner. Jimmy made him look like a college freshman.

I’d like to give a shout out to Mark Brunell for that game also. He was dropping dimes against the best defense ever.

Brunell was dropping dime bags to Jimmy?  Hence, therein lies the problem.

I agree but in this day and age with certain rule changes, breaking 303 is more difficult (than it was back then) since there are pretty much no kickoff returns.

Allen Robinson - 90 yard catch
Taylor - 90 yard run

No Jag has ever had 3 ints on defense.
