Discuss.

Nothing to discuss on that one.. It's not like you can counter argue facts and sound sane at the same time..

Why would they tie themselves to the wheels? I mean... weren't those thing spinning during takeoff?

I'd assume they tied themselves to the landing gear itself. I mean if they knew they were tied to anything at all, let alone tied to the wheels they wouldn't have taken off. They just don't know so they say wheels.

You can stand on the landing gear and then get into the cargo hold on normal planes. As long as you get inside you can survive. Generally though you will run out of air and/freeze.

They are all MIA. The tweets are shredding them and it appears Joe has no clue, Harris is staying disappeared to keep it off her, and the press spokesman ran away.

Yes you can, at least 1 person survived a flight doing that. You hold on, there are nuts, bolts, etc above the tires to put your feet on and then when they are retracted you are inside. You aren't safe though unless you can get inside the cargo hold.

It depends on the design of the plane...

And also on whether Hollywood is involved... ConAir is my one point of reference for this type of shenanigan. Smile

Nope.  The wheel wells are not pressurized or climate controlled.  If hypothermia doesn't get you within the first minute or so, you will basically suffocate once the aircraft climbs above 10,000 feet.

As JIB says, the wheel wells and pressurized portions of the aircraft are separated, and quite robustly because of the pressure bulkhead.

What you are proposing is on par with claiming you can climb inside your car through the engine compartment.

I was going to reference ConAir.  Laughing

An underrated movie. One of the best most ridiculous movies with a really good cast. Life is not complete until you've watched this movie.

I know you don't agree with political views but I don't state things as fact that can't be backed up. Plenty of people have survived and even for long flights. Expand your knowledge base and don't trust just because they said it can't be done.

I'm not debating whether some people have survived stowing away in a wheel well. I'm challenging your assertion that people can get into the cargo hold through the wheel well. They cannot.

A stowaway could not but someone prepared too could but at the same time depressurization alarms would go off. Getting into the cargo hold is the only way to ensure survival, you just can't easily do it. The equipment needed would be hard to sneak on to an airport and make it into a wheel well before takeoff.

I saw a long time ago on a program I was watching that one person did in fact fly from PR (I think) to the US by stowing away in the wheel well. He wasn’t exactly in the best medical conditions upon arrival, but he did survive. Now, having said that, idk how many others would’ve died. It’s not exactly a sure fire way to stow away. However, it does show your desperation in wanting to leave where you took off from.
