Not far from it. What indicates we're not? We have a team coming off a 1-15 season with a rookie coach and rookie QB.

Everyone seems to not understand the situation here. Just because we have a football team in the professional league does not mean we have a team which can compete with other established teams. We've brought a hoopty with racing slicks to a drag race and hope to compete because it kinda looks like the other cars.

WE ARE NOT READY FOR PRIMETIME. The game today tells me we made a lot of progress. We competed hard for three quarters, which is a hell of an improvement over the last two weeks.

Did anyone seriously believe we were going to win this game today? Anyone? Yet so many of you are trashing the team's whole effort after the wheels came off much later than anyone believed they would. We made progress. Better plays, better execution, better effort. Unfortunately we have a short week to work on improving more but we take the positives where we can.

This team is improving. But if you're going to let the final score and the last quarter collapse be the basis for your overall judgement, then you're mistaken.

I believe we were in position to win this game today and the coaches are the reason we didn't.

The lower the expectations the easier it is to be "better."

As compared to unrealistic expectations? You're condescension for anything positive is really starting to grate.

There was a chance, but a small one. Our D spent too much time on the field and a better roster showed itself in crunch time.

The positives are barely positive. The negatives are things that are so egregious as to be unprofessional.

They demonstrated what a good roster and more established coaching does in adversity. We had a small chance, but our negatives worked against us.

So I guess it's not a penalty to clothesline the QB on the last play of the game.

So the first three quarters where just not as negative?

No i get you. We did a lot better than i thought and the only real disappointment is being up 9 then down 4 so quickly and that gut punch kinda floored us. Hoped we could try and pull ourselves back into it but the fumbles really hurt us.

Definitely a step up from Denver which was a step up from Houston.

Playing through adversity is one of those things im hoping Meyer can change as thats what none of the other HC's could do.

Anyone who looks at this team compared to the first game and can't see improvement is blind. Whether the improvement continues remains to be seen.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

You can continue to push that, but the simple fact is that it took 3 weeks for these idiots to figure out James Robinson can play, and the very next series they went away from it and killed this entire game. There's a problem with this staff that's beyond being green, because most of them aren't; they are doing things that are just dumb at the worst possible times.

That's where an established team and coaching staff comes into play. We'll get there soon.

But they did figure out a lot today. It's a process and we saw the improvement. For 3 quarters we held our own against one of the better teams in the league. Our hoopty got a new carburetor today. We're building up a bad team with every game.

I saw more than hope today. What happened today was tangible improvement.

Hopefully so. We all would love to just plug in a coaching staff and it all click but sadly its not that easy but like you say its a process. Weve had so many changes, especially with OC's and we need that stability and systems for players to learn and start to fine tune rather than constantly relearning.

You can see the effort and they are trying its just executing for 4Q's and 60 minutes at the moment. But today was a step forward and the first game for a while where i actually got excited
