Welcome to the NFL, where you can beat a pregnant women, break your sons arm, kick a women on camera, knock out a women cold in an elevator, hire rappers who use homophobic language in their past for the halftime show, and be embroiled in a sexual assault lawsuit, but well, you cant use bad language ten years ago. That’s just crossing the line

Sarcasm aside, gruden deserves his ridicule, but the NFL is just wildly inconsistent with its morals sometimes

Gruden bad mouth'd Goodell multiple times in those emails and that's likely the difference here in them being leaked. Goodell likely made it a point to cancel Gruden.

Or someone whispered to Mark Davis that they knew a way they could save him ~$40 million dollars.

Yea and his name is likely Roger Goodell.

Anything less is creepy.

What's the ratio for a younger guy and an older woman?   He was 24 and this happened before the "cougar" designation became popular.

Asking for a friend.

Call me creepy then. As long as they are over 21, everything is good.

Sexually assault someone young enough to be your daughter on video, get the full support of your owner and organization.

Shad might just be the worst...and Dan Snyder still exists.

Since when is playing grab [BLEEP] with a chick who is dry humping your leg sexual assault?? The dude is an jerk for cheating on his wife (unless they have that kind of relationship) but let’s not go completely hyperbolic with it.

This may have been asked, but now that Jon Gruden has been run out of the league for an email he wrote a decade ago, how does that compare to our guy who was caught with his hand halfway up the backside of a woman who is half his wife's age, after also declining to ride home with the team on the plane after the game?

My mistake...she was 24.  Yeah that's kind of gross.  His daughters are probably older than that.

There's nothing wrong with it, if he were single, but he's not. I admire any old, single guy who can land a young "hottie."

I totally agree.  More power to him if he's single.  Nothing wrong with bagging a young hottie if you can accomplish that, but when you do it with a wife at home taking care of the grandkids, that's just wrong.  If you like a smorgasbord of beautiful young women, don't take vows to just one woman telling her you will be loyal to her alone.  That's an obvious sign of a lack of character and decency.

It's not and you're right. I'm more upset that our head coach is too ignorant or arrogant (both?) to understand the effects of his public behavior on this organization. He's old enough and experienced enough to know better, so he's either too dumb for this job or his head/heart is not in it. I'd prefer to think it's just the latter, but if it's the former he might not ever realize the problem.

That’s exactly what I was talking about. He looked lost and looked like he was waiting for the decision rather than making one.

The only thing I could imagine was he was waiting to see if another official campaigned to reverse the call on the field first, or that some procedural requirement prohibited him from tossing the flag too soon.

Like, say as soon as they call incomplete, he tosses flag, then an official comes over and says the ball was loose, they decide it's incomplete. Not sure if we can pull our challenge or lose a timeout for nothing.

It looked like there was SOME uncertainty among the officials, it was hardly a scenario where the play was blown dead, ball spotted and ready to play the next down. Something was going on off camera.

He was also hearing in the headset the call from the coach upstairs. Lots of coaches do that, it's just that Meyer looked completely lost doing it.

That doesn’t align with the narrative.

It wasn’t a model of steely-eyed determination, for sure.

....there's probably some debate over whether either were fireable offenses, but that's probably more suited to a whole other section of this board.

The last bit I'll disagree with. There's a big difference between being inept when it comes to hiring management to improve your team(s) and being a [BLEEP].

I was originally going with arrogance on this one.  So often with fame and fortune comes an overdeveloped sense of privilege and I think Meyer is that type.  In the videos he appears more than comfortable which leads me to believe this was not his first such encounter.  However, his comments about the game, specifically not even realizing Robinson's diminished role in the second half, lead me to believe he simply isn't very bright.

Either way, it's time for him to go.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

I'd say it would be a whole lot more comparable if she were not a consenting adult. They both knew what they were doing. His biggest concern is with the boss at home.

Unless he commits to an apology tour from hell and kisses a lot of [BLEEP], he’s done in today’s climate. I don’t see Gruden doing that. He has enough in the bank to retire.

Probably because he's the one coach the was hard on KJ and made him work his [BLEEP] off.  I'm trusting Charles Woodson over KJ
