He isn't a project. He was a high first round projected pick.
Little was never a "project" coming out...
His talent was never in question or doubt, in fact, most pundits/analysts valued him as a solid first round pick like Dimson mentioned.

Little was already touted as one of the better OT's in his freshman year in 2017.
He was the first true freshman to start at left tackle for Stanford since 2000 and he won the PAC-12 Freshman Offensive Player of the Year award. Walker Little was never a "project".... You wanna know what a project is? Matt Jones, the converted Arkansas QB to WR. (10-16-2021, 12:22 AM)TheO-LineMatters Wrote:(10-15-2021, 08:06 PM)Dimson Wrote: He isn't a project. According to what Boselli said on the radio a few weeks ago, Bartch’s arrested development is due to his hands. Poor hand speed and placement have bedeviled him. Maybe he’s turned a corner.

Richardson stepped in and didn’t miss a beat. Jawan Taylor on the other hand.....woah

And Taylor was the only glaring problem. (10-17-2021, 01:03 PM)JagFanatic24 Wrote: Richardson stepped in and didn’t miss a beat. Jawan Taylor on the other hand.....woah I'm not sure we can make this determination that quickly based on TV tape. Once Bartch went out is when Taylor started to have issues, especially on blitzes. No idea how protections changed or communication/etc play out until one sees the full 22 tape. I do think they Trevor calling out protections and Mike now too with Linder out, so that could also affect all of this.

I wouldn't be up in arms about Little being a "project". And I still don't agree he's a project. His footwork is good his strength is good just needs to work on hands. I'd put him out there over Taylor right now if I was coach. In year 3 he looks more like a project than anyone (10-17-2021, 01:06 PM)rpr52121 Wrote:(10-17-2021, 01:03 PM)JagFanatic24 Wrote: Richardson stepped in and didn’t miss a beat. Jawan Taylor on the other hand.....woah Taylor was having issues from snap 1. Almost all of the pressure came from his side. The sack fumble and another sack came from pure speed rush around the outside. He sucks. And I was a big defender of his last season. Maybe warhop doesn't develop guys well or he just sucks but I'm so over Taylor at this point
Lance is a high ceiling, high bust potential kind of pick. He's hardly played in college and that at a small school. He's the "new" NFL prototype QB more than the traditional one, but he's playing for a coach who can maximize that. I think he's a project just because he's a relative unknown.
