Impressions From The Dolphins Game

Maybe the Dolphins still march right down for a TD to tie it.  And maybe instead of us being down by 3, if it's a tied ball game and only a few minutes to go, we don't allow Wright to attempt a 55 yard FG giving the Dolphins a short field if he misses.  And instead punt it away.  Or maybe we go for it there and dont get it giving the Dolphins great field position anyways.  You never know how things will play out but I like our chances up 11 halfway through the 4th.  Keep playing to win!  At least this time we had our best RB on the field for the 4th down play.  Baby steps.

I thought Miami going for it on 4th down at the end of the game was far more risky and stupid than us going for it on 4th down instead of taking the FG.

And while I give credit to Meyer and team for being aggressive, I've seen them getting a ton of credit for that play call on 4th down with 5 seconds left.  The announcers sure seemed stunned as it happened but everyone I was watching the game with was yelling at the tv before the play that they should do exactly what the team did.  I didn't think that was a surprisingly brilliant decision by the coaches.  If anything they should be faulted for not calling timeout with 6 or 7 seconds left to give themselves a bit more time.  I give more credit to Lawrence and Viska for executing it to perfection.

Jags Coaches should get credit for the play before the GW FG.

But I disagree on the redzone 4th down. Up by 7 and up by 6 is a HUGE difference. If the Jags were only up by 3 points at that point, I think yes the board would have been divided. But up by 4 point in that situation, you have to take the points.

The team played with great intensity and made plays at the end of the game. Congrats Jags on a great win!
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

Not a surprise we were in London and the Refs gave us all the calls.

Agnew definitely touched that football and it should have been a Dolphins TD.

Bullseye can you add 1 impression to this too.  Jags first win in 20 games happened in London, not the us.

I find that a little strange, and fishey.

It wasn't even debatable. Turn in your football fan card at the door.

You can literally see his left Index finger bend backwards on the replay lol

You are seeing things, Dolphin fan. Might be time for a trip to the optometrist.

You are obviously closing your eyes and choosing to ignore it because it definitely happened.

I recorded the game and the broadcast replayed it several times. If the ball touched him there wasn't any indication that I could see.

It definitely says something interesting that you're so convinced you did see something.

Kinda looked like there was a tad bit of movement in his finger. But nothing the replay could really overturn. Agnews actions afterwards kinda make me think he did get a finger on it. Anytime you throw your hands up as if to say “I didn’t do it” usually y did. Doesn’t matter though. It was very close either way and the call was in our favor

Wright stepped up big time. I’m happy for him. Leg strength could be an issue. Seals Lambos fate. Wish Lambo the best. Hopefully he gets his head right. No INTs for TL. It’s slowly coming together. Loved the call with 5 seconds. Perfectly executed as well.

I disagree.  There's one angle which clearly shows he didn't touch the football.  As for the "bend back", if you freeze frame it, the finger is bent back before the ball even gets there.  He's trying to avoid touching it.  I admit that angle is tough, but it's clear in the other angle that he didn't touch it.  If you freeze frame it and look closely, you can see grass between the fingers and the ball.  Good call by the refs.

I've heard the defender touch is not a factor. That if you go down and give yourself up and call time, that is enough.

I was thinking the same thing, but I wasn't sure.  Good point.

There looked to be a slight touch but they don't use good enough cameras to slow it down and see. The NFL can't even use 4k cameras setup around the stadium to get full 360 view of every play. If they cared, they would use technology that is available.

First off, we get enough calls against us, so if they went our way for once...I don't give a [BLEEP].

But with that, I'm not sure if it was definite Agnew touched the ball.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

I thought the Agnew play was close. If they had ruled it a touch, I'm not sure they could have overturned it. Not indisputable evidence in either direction.
