Week 8 Jaguars/Seahawks Score Predictions

#1
(This post was last modified: 10-26-2021, 12:02 AM by Flagler Jagsfan. Edited 1 time in total.)

Welp, bye week is over. We have had an extra week of rest and the Seahawks have 1 less day to prepare for Sunday due to playing on Monday Night.

Do the Jags keep their momentum and take advantage of a very lackluster QB? Or do the Seahawks use this week against the Jags as a get right game?

Personally, I think we win this week! We broke the curse, and now these guys know they can win. And Geno Smith is terrible! We are going in to a game having the better QB. Not sure i have been able to honestly say that in a long time.

It's gettable.

No idea what this staff and roster will actually show up with, but I'm hoping they show up ready for 4 quarters this time.

If it was in Jacksonville, I would feel much better about this game but those West Coast trips do the Jags no favors.

Seahawks 33, Jags 24.

Why do I have a feeling that we’re going to make Geno Smith look good and DK Metcalf will have 200+ receiving yards?

32-17 Hawks.

They've had an extra week to prepare. If we can't beat Geno Smith with an extra week to strategize, that's an indictment on this franchise and the coaching staff. Could mean that Urban's had his hands in something else besides the playbook.

This is certainly a winnable game. I think our run D is good enough that we can lean into playing more pass D , welcome the run and still win. Like the NO game, I have a feeling it's gonna be a low-scoring affair. Myers misses a late opportunity to tie the game, Jags escape with a 20-17 win.

Lol, we couldn't beat Tyrod Taylor with 3 months to prepare. We should be past indicting this group and moving on to carrying out the death sentence.

Historically, we haven't fared very well on these west coast trips. Likely that will continue but hopefully they at least put together a competitive game.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Do you really need to ask?

I am, uh, not very optimistic.

I mean, on PAPER, we could do this... but...

Ah, screw it.
I'm gonna' say Urban and Bevell get their heads out of their butts long enough to get 3.5 good quarters of football from the offense and Cullen pushes "bend but don't break" to new glorious heights, allowing the 'hawks to march down the field but settle for mostly FGs.

I think it's likely competitive for a bit, the Hawks aren't very good with Geno in there. Ultimately their skill players and defense are better.

Jags win this one BIG!!! 42-10. The Seahawks are transformed into seagulls fighting over a mullet.

Yeah we don't do too good on the west coast, plus their roster is more talented. Jason Myers will be automatic, Sidney Jones will do good and DK will have a big game

Seattle is 0-3 at home this season. The Jags have a legitimate chance in this one. Former Jags teams would have blown his one badly, would have put forth a real stinker. We'll see about this team.

My reason for optimism is that this is not the same regime as in the past. Yes, when we historically traveled out west, we were dominated. But you have to admit, we've gotten a little better each week this year. Which could indicate that our coaching staff is not perfect, and learning a little each week. I would have zero confidence if Marrone was still in charge.

Seahawks are bad on defense and now bad on offense with geno at the helm. The jags are coming off rhe bye and the hawks are on short rest playing on Monday night. Meyer mentioned the coaches hung around last week and did a lot of self scouting and said it was priceless. I really believe we will have some stuff cleaned up coming off the bye and will get the win in Seattle.
