Shotgun on 3rd and short.  Fire the bum of a so called  offensive coordinator

I just don't understand. The DLine was basically ready to take the handoff by the time Hyde even got the ball. Why? Why not just a simple handoff from under center, allowing the runningback to get some speed? Why is this team adamant about the runningback getting the ball from a complete stop in shotgun on 3rd and short and 4th and short?

Teams so hard to watch at times, and I'm starting to worry about Lawrence, he does not see the field it seems. Regressing.

Our D is gong to start wearing down because our offense is so inept today. They have got to get Trevor in the game by doing some crossing patterns or easier throws to get himself in the game. We're playing right into their hands the way our O is playing. Like someone said earlier, he's regressing because our play caller is not putting him in better situations to get him into the game earlier. We were down 17-0 before anything started today, way too much earlier.

Bevell was Russ's QB to start. Considering Lawrence is one of the least sacked/pressured QB's this year (rookie or vet) I think that's part of Bevell, while Bevell has terrible balance as an OC and I question his playcalling decisions, I think he's good for Lawrence by giving him a PHD in protections and how to make sure he's not getting killed early on in his career.
