*** Official Game Thread - Week 11 - 49ers @ Jags***
|
Fresh off their stunning 31-10 Monday Night victory over the powerful L.A. Rams, the San Francisco 49ers make the long trek East to visit the 2 win Jacksonville Jaguars. Trevor Lawrence continues a rough streak of play, last week he was just 16 of 35 for 162 yards without any touchdowns or INTs. A season worst 45% completion percentage was the lowest in a series of now three games where he failed to reach 60% for the game. The offense and play calling are doing him few favors as the receivers continue to struggle and James Robinson recovers from a heel injury. The defense offers a brighter outlook as it seems Joe Cullen's scheme is taking root and the players are improving their understanding and game speed. Josh Allen continues his impressive all around play and even Taven Bryan appears to be emerging in the interior line where his strength allows him to win match ups against some very good offensive linemen. The 49ers are led by streaky QB Jimmy Garappolo who can be great or bad depending on the week. Game time is 1pm.

If the D continues its level of play and the offense can find a footing, I believe we have a real chance of winning.
Speaking of footing, we’re looking at you , Matthew Wrong.
I want to see Agnew play a bigger role in the offense. He has explosive speed!
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

At this point just catching what hits him in the hands will be a tremendous improvement over the current crew. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

Absolutely, but even if he's not as fast as he used to be I hope he can still be an improvement. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

Sadly, simply catching the ball more than twice in a game with this crew would be an impact. Why do I feel like the 49ers always eat our lunch? I guess everyone eats our lunch, but usually the 49ers extra so. I think we are cruising for a bruising.

With our D playing at this level, anything is possible and it gives real hope. The D handed the game to the offense last week, but they couldn't pull it off. Maybe this week we see them step up. Fun fact, if Dan Arnold gets over 50 yards receiving today, he Will be the first Jaguar tight end ever to have 4 straight games
Of atleast 50+ yards receiving. ![]()
Black out. This always is an emergency situation where a jag fan has to scramble to find a place to watch the game when they Black you out!

I can't believe Pete Mitchell or Mercedes did not have four games in a row with over 50. Maybe something good will happen today, and they pull off a win. |
