This is what happens when you get good coaching.

Again, not even the dumbest ones calling Trevor a bust can say with a straight face that if Trevor was in NE and Mac, that the outcomes of their respective rookie years would be different

Agreed.  Comparing him to Andrew Luck is like Comparing Pat Mahomes to Blaine Gabbert.

And comparing him to Gabbert is equally idiotic...

I'm not following. Are Bevell and Schottenheimer not telling Lawrence he should throw catchable balls? Are they unable to teach him? Why doesn't he understand that himself? They seem to have managed with other quarterbacks. Is Meyer stopping them?

This is so strange so it must be on purpose. Why would that be? Is it Khan?

NE is one of the best teams in the league at game planning and building an offense around their personnel. They put their players in positions to succeed week in and week out.

The Jags ALWAYS start games slow. Always. And that's because their game plans are garbage. Once the game plan goes out the window, the offense seems to move the ball a little better. Why is that? If Mac was here, he would first be getting clobbered behind a below average line, then he wouldn't be sure what his reads are because no one tells him and then he would see no one open.

I mean Urban just said they're still having issues with depth of routes and WRs running the wrong route! How's that even possible?!

Some of these dudes are dead [BLEEP] going to pretend that NE's offense didn't totally change when they signed Randy Moss, totally change again when they had nobody at WR, totally change a 3rd time to accommodate Scam Newton, and then go back to Brady's original non-Moss offense when Mac started games.

Belichick puts his players in a position to succeed.  No Jaguars coach has been able to do this in the last 20 years at least.

The fact that he thinks Lawrence wouldn’t be doing better in NE tells me all I need to know about the quality of his opinion, or lack thereof.

We still have WRs running wrong routes for cripes sake

Where did I write that? I linked an article wher NE's OC said Jones throws catchable balls.

So far that's my criticism of Lawrence that's he's inaccurate. Happy to be told about quarterbacks that fixed that problem

Unlike Trevor throwing 200mph fast ball finger breakers 5 yards away.

I have to laugh at this criticism because of 1. The tweet above; if a pass is in your vincinity, it’s your one and only job as WR to catch it and 2. Go back and watch Bortles famous pick sixes; they were almost always on short five yard routes such as outs, swings, etc where he soft balled it giving a cue and time to the defensive back to jump the route. They literally sat on those route a lot. Fast balls wouldn’t have been picked (as often)

I have this weird overwhelming feeling that Lawrence suffers a season ending injury against the Rams. Rams D line abuses him to the point of injury.

At least Lawrence hasn't bounced any passes off of anyone's helmet or shoes, as far as I know.

I love Orlovsky when he breaks down QBs but what I found interesting about his tweet is when he says it looks like "Bevels system vs Urbans RPO system." It's week 13 man. There shouldn't be any confusion as to what the offense is at this point.

Yes, and then i wonder who people support if the problem really is that Bevell and Meyer can't figure this out?

I think you'd be a fool to support either of those two.

If the Jags had followed your advice, they would have Mac Jones and an additional three first-round picks and Carolina would be watching Lawrence sink their franchise. Just saying.

I don't know what to say except it's Christmas and we're all in misery.

...and jags fans would be watching Meyer and Bevell ruin Mac Jones instead.

Wouldn't change a thing besides giving us a QB prospect with less longterm upside and more rookies to inexplicably ride pine.

Knowing our luck, though, Jones would be a game manager at best (he may be this very thing in NE), but Joe Brady and TLaw play like gangbusters in Carolina.

Wait. TLaw with DJ Moore, Terrance Marshall Jr, Robby Anderson, Dan Arnold, CMac or Hubbard and top 10 defense would be sinking?!
