Harbaugh and O'Brien may be the two worst hires for me. Harbaugh never lasts long in one place because his coaching style goes stale after a while.

O'Brien is awful and I have no clue how you can hire him after seeing how things played out in Houston. He traded Hopkins for David Johnson!
Agree completely about O'Brien - that might be the next worst coaching hire of all time if we pulled that trigger (second only to the Urban hire).  Regarding Harbaugh - I would rather have Harbaugh and a real GM, than have another coach (Pederson, Caldwell etc.) and still have Baalke.  We HAVE to start drafting better and there's no way I trust Baalke to be anywhere near our draft room, unless he's delivering pizza....

I think there's no way Caldwell comes here with Baalke. I think Baalke is on his way out come Monday.

But if given the choice between Harbaugh/Another GM and Pederson/Baalke...... I'll just hope for a meteor.

The Hopkins trade. What a gift for Arizona. O'Bryan is such a nice guy

Maybe the single worst trade in NFL history.

Oh come on.  I can think of two worse ones without even trying hard.  Minnesota trading three first rounders and a few other lower picks to Dallas for Herschel Walker.  Ditka trading all of the Saints picks for Ricky Williams.

No way ...buy pizza from somewhere else. the guy will suggest a hook shot from half court or something.

For anyone who listens to the latest Bold Take Pod, no I am not Matt Hamilton. I know his new HC breakdown sounds exactly like me though. Great minds and all. The new HC talk starts at the 1:02:00 mark but the whole pod is worth listening to.

Kellen Moore and Fangio?!

If that happens, I would be all for that.

Yeah, I love the idea of pairing one of the high upside rookie HCs with a very experienced coordinator on the other side whether Fangio or whoever else.

I bet we could get Eberflus with Jim Caldwell as OC as another option.

No thank you on Eberflus, he brings up what he did in Missouri when he went to Missouri lol. The Colts have a lot of talent on that defense and to be just middle of the pack every year they under achieve imo. If we get a defensive coach I want one of these coaches that has his defense at the top of the league year in and year out. Id rather Martindale than Eberflus but I dont really like any of the defensive HC candidates this year. Hopfeully we get an offensive minded coach.

Didn’t McVay bring in Wade his first year?

I’m in for something like that. I’m not stuck into just one person or one way of thinking here. I think there are numerous people I would get behind.

Bill OBrien and Harbaugh are 100% not it though.

It is going to be the biggest test of my fandom yet if we hire BoB and he keeps Baalke. Or even if we hire BoB period.

Sit back and wait time. Try to enjoy the last game of the season first. Personally, I cant wait for the draft already.

I had already decided I was walking if they kept Urban past this year, but hiring BoB would do it too.

I don't think anyone is going to be enjoying the last game of the season, lol.

Not about a particular coach, but found it interesting nonetheless.

Good read. Shows how vastly different each team is during the process. Found it interesting though that Mike Tannebaum hired three different coaches that all made it to the play off's in year one.

Yes, I read that and thought, "Hey, maybe we should hire Mike Tannenbaum."

He was on TV the other day saying the Jags could make the playoffs next year if they made the right moves.

This goes hand-in-glove with what Dave Campo was saying on the radio today about Eric Bieniemy, who he says is a good coach but interviews so poorly that he may not get an invite this year.
