We need someone right away and who knows how long it will take for Williams to be back to 100%? I still think Williams is gonna be a star, but it may take him 2-3 years to hit his peak, due to the injury setback. London may not be as athletic as I would like, but the guy runs excellent routes and catches everything thrown his way. That's big considering how many dropped passes we had this season. If we just had a WR who could actually hold onto the ball, it would be a HUGE upgrade.Right now. Round 1- Thibs Round 2- Dotson Round 3- Wandale We show less advertisements to registered users. Just did another Fanspeak mock draft with multiple trades. This shows how unrealistic Fanspeak can be, but we're entitled to dream:
Rd. 1 (10) Evan Neal : Will start at right tackle day 1 Rd. 2 (35) Drake London: Big possession receiver who starts day 1 Rd. 2 (38) Darrian Kinnard: Starts day 1 at one of guard spots. Rd. 2 (39) Trey McBride: Starting tight end very soon. Initially shares time with Arnold. Rd. 3 (70) David Bell: Excellent all-around receiver who is a steal at this point in draft. Rd. 3 (71) Max Mitchell: Solid depth on offensive line. Can play guard or tackle. Rd. 3 (72) Sam Williams: First defensive player taken. Excellent value for good Edge rusher. Rd.4 (103) Chad Muma: Solid middle linebacker and tackling machine. Rd. 4 (106) Roger McCreary: This must be a gift from Fanspeak. No way he lasts this long, but will be starting nickel. Rd. 4 (108) David Ojabo: Another gift as he may actually go in round 1. He and Williams will finish rookie season with a combined 12 sacks and help Allen reach double digits in this caegory. Rd. 5 (143) Jalen Tolbert: Wide receiver depth. Rd. 5 (145) Zamir White: Dropped due to injuries in college career. Will contend for #3 back after Robinson and Etienne. The Jaguars 3 biggest weaknesses are fixed: Wide receivers: London, Godwin (courtesy Byron), Bell, MJJ, Shenault (used more as gadget player), Tolbert Offensive line: Little/Kinnard/ Linder/Tomlinson (free agent)/Neal with solid backups in Shatley, Mitchell, Bartch and Richardson. No, I didn't forget Taylor. No longer on roster. Pass rushers: Allen, Williams, Ojabo and Smoot. These 4 can rotate and Chaisson has seat on bench next to Taylor unless they can trade both for a ham sandwich!
PFFs mock from this morning had Max Mitchell in the first round. Seems too high, but he is really good and should get a lot of steam at the senior bowl and then during testing.

Seems too high, but he is really good and should get a lot of steam at the senior bowl and then during testing. He would be my #1 target at OT. I love how he can play LT or RT. I was hoping we could get him with one of our 3rd round picks. If he goes higher than that, I don't have any other OT's I really like who have that kind of versatility. It's a terrible OT class. I have not been able to watch Trevor Penning or Braxton Jones, because neither one of their schools played games where I could view them. I am looking forward to seeing both of them in the Senior Bowl. Hopefully, they will be impressive.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
(02-09-2022, 11:56 AM)JagJohn Wrote: 9: R1 P9 OT Ikem Ekwonu - NC State I would have no problems at all with the top 3 picks being offensive linemen. The team has basically fixed this position enabling Lawrence to have the protection he will need. I especially like the Green pick since he typically goes in round 1. This draft would especially be great if they cut ties with Robinson and the $17 million he would make. The rest of your picks were also hard to question. You got great value with every pick from Winfrey at #4 all the way to Cook with the last pick. Every draft choice will likely either be immediate starters/upgrades or a rotational player at the least- with the exception of James Cook. Sanders could be the player they hoped they had in Chaisson and only lasted this long due to the quantity of talent at the Edge position. Woolen looks like a guy who will need time to develop due to having played corner for such a short time. His ceiling, however, is extremely high and the Jaguars certainly need another player at corner/nickel who can be counted on. The only criticisms you may receive are waiting on a receiver until pick 65 and not selecting a tight end. My response to that is both Pickens and Ross would have been taken higher if not for their injuries. Ross has the advantage of familiarity with Lawrence and if Pickens becomes more consistent he could be the steal of this class. My hope is that the Jaguars are able to re=sign Chark at the least and hopefully add whichever Cowboy (Cooper or Gallup) is let go. Tight end is probably the deepest position in free agency so I fully expect the Jaguars to add at least one via this route. Ertz seems like a logical choice due to his connection to Pederson, however he likely has just a couple of productive years remaining. That's why I'd also like to add someone like Everett or Engram since they wouldn't cost nearly as much as Gesecki or Schultz. The 2022-23 Jaguars are not likely to be strong contenders due to the lack of talent they will inherit plus the youth/growing pains of the several rookies who will immediately be counted on to be starters. That being said, stabilizing the offensive line is the number 1 priority and this draft class has succeeded in this critical area in addition to adding very solid players at other areas of need. I don't know if you are a Bulldog fan, but it can't hurt getting 3 players who were on a National Championship team. Great job! We show less advertisements to registered users.
