Way Too Early Fan Mock Draft - 2022

To say the worst team in the league should cut a starting player who is under a reasonable contract, before free agency and before the draft?   Seriously?  That's just throwing away an asset.  That wouldn't be very smart.

Taylor has been very disappointing following his strong rookie season. He set the expectations high, but for some reason has regressed since then. I agree that it would not be smart to cut him for the very reasons you stated. He's likely to be on the roster until his contract period is over.

Asset? That guy has been a liability since day 1.

Dude. He's garbage.

If the Jags continue playing him at RT, their line will continue to be bad.

He's not an asset at all. He's a liability.

A man can dream. That's a great haul with ridiculous value. Especially on defense. If they stole McBride, Pickens and Metchie III in RD3 like that it would go down as one of the greatest rounds in this team's history. At least on paper. All three of those guys are late RD1 to RD2 prospects at the moment.

Getting Neal in a trade down is not a bad bargain. Wouldn't mind him playing LT or RT in that scenario. Hell, you could throw him in at Guard for all I care if they end up rolling with Armstead via free agency or tagging Robinson to stay while making Little/Taylor/Neal duke it out for starting jobs on the line.

Hamilton and Johnson though? Nice haul. Curious who you had on the board though at LB there with pick 33. After nabbing Hamilton at Safety, Johnson at DE and McDuffie at CB right after pick 33 I would have probably went after a LB to help Jack out inside the 3 - 4 scheme. Nakobe Dean, Chad Muma or Christian Harris would have been my pick there if available.

Waiting on free agency now though on my end to kick off and then I'll do one last mock draft where I think they'll go without trades and then I'll do another mock draft with trades. I'll try to be as realistic as possible as well with the scenarios that come up opportunity wise. Should be fun.
