So in his press conference when he spoke about needing more knowledge in the room to become a winning franchise, all of a sudden that’s changed! Amazing how inept he is on football decisions.
The commercial side of the business is the only thriving side which happens to have an evp over seeing the day to day, amazing how he can’t see this is needed on the football side. Instead letting Trent run the show.
Let’s see who shad backs at the end of season because I can all but guarantee he will be forced to sack one of them

And so are season ticket sales.... on the back burner.

No one buys into this garbage anymore. And no one else in the country would either.

The tweet said Shad Khan is putting it on the back burner because he was impressed with Doug Pederson.  It said SK has been taking part in "coaching and planning meetings under Doug Pederson."

That makes it sound like Doug Pederson is running things.

Trust but verify. So far I don't trust anything.  I hope they can get some players in Free Agency and the Draft but they are sure going a long way to stack the deck for Baalke. Man he likes that guy. And now Pederson is the greatest hire ever.

Not the draft and free agency. Khan's "buddy" Baalke will have final say in those areas. I guarantee it.

As I said before, it sounds like Pederson and Baalke have formed the cohesive collaboration Khan was looking for at the time of the press conference, so he's going to roll with them through the draft. It sounds like he meets with them regularly, so he's privvy to their plan and the progress they are making.
Pederson wanted the ability to shape his own roster and this signals that request has been granted.

It's not a lie if you believe what you're saying.

(I think that's a line from a movie.)

We have the most incompetent owner of all time in the city of Jacksonville. What a proud moment to be a fan of this team! /s

Coach needs to coach.
Didn't we learn from last year? Urbz was running things, too.

I'm not gonna melt down over it, as anyone with half a brain could have realized this was the case when it's been almost a month since the HC was hired, an EVP promised, and not one word of any interview, interest or anything related to an EVP hire taking place.

Expect to be disappointed, it's the only way not to end up that way.

Not sure how this matters honestly. Hiring the boss of the GM and coach after both have been hired is silly.
If we're going to invent new positions for more chefs in the kitchen at least start at the top and work down.

All this executive vice personnel president assistant to the mother of my uncles GM [BLEEP] gets silly.

Several of us did. I think it's because we're so used to being let down by this team.

Not really. More people above and even below Baalke would've meant more people in the decision making process of which players to draft and which free agents to sign. Baalke's bad choices would've possibly been outvoted by a majority. With it being just Baalke and Pederson with Baalke having the final say, guess who gets whose choices get vetoed? Not Baalke's. That is why he had so many issues with head coaches in San Francisco.

Pederson can only do so much with the players Baalke provides. In San Francisco, Baalke was know for poor drafting and bad free agent signings.

I'm gonna call it now. Pederson will be here a maximum of 2 years before major issues occur between him and Baalke. When this happens, we all know Khan will side with his "buddy."
