I like the fact that they're adding legitimate players in areas of need. Gives them a ton of flexibility in the draft. Hopefully end up with solid and viable depth this year.

I’d still rather not for that money but he’s here now so I hope he lives up to it.  I always said he a good slot WR.  Pay attention! A lot of money for a slot WR

The jags have to pay more than other clubs because we’re not a club that players are looking to come to. So you’re gonna have to pay free agents more to come to Jacksonville. But we didn’t pay that much more than he would’ve gotten from another club actually so it’s a good signing

I know I'm a little late here, but I just got home from taking my dad to the doctor. This is a fantastic signing. I never thought that Scherff would want to come here, but I'm glad I was wrong. He immediately gives us a significant upgrade at the LG position. He is worth every penny, whatever we paid. I just hope he stays healthy. This is a nice way to start things off.

It has a fantasy slant to it so some of y'all may not put as much stock into it, but I think this is a very good breakdown of Kirk in general and how he fits with us. It also shows a cutup of all of his catches vs us last year that is pretty cool.

In summary, if you don't watch, Kirk's numbers on the outside and vs man are very bad. Kirk's numbers from the slot and vs zone are quite good. Obviously we are counting on him improving on the outside cause he's going to have to play in 2 WR sets with this much money, but really we need to be playing a TON of 11 personnel.

They're not [BLEEP] around with the cap space though. I hope the aggressive approach is a new found spark from Baalke after getting dogged out last year locally.

ILB replaces D Wilson orrr, re-sign Wilson and kick Myles to OLB where he plays best

But he's 215 lbs.

I like the NT signing from the Jets, and love the Scherff signing.

So, at this moment our Oline is Cam, Scherff, Linder, Bartch, and Little?

I'd like to upgrade Bartch...but I like what I see with the Scherff agreement.

Like Bullseye, I'm a bit skeptical of a 215 lb. LB in a 3-4 scheme. With that said, he looks much bigger on tape. IMO, he looks closer to 230-235 lbs than he does 215 lbs. I'm guessing we're gonna use him in a lot of nickel packages where he serves as a LB/SS hybrid to cover TE's. If that is the case and he can keep us from being torched by opposing TE's like we have in the past, I won't complain at all. I'm gonna give this one a chance and see what he can do. He certainly put up some impressive stats last season. We just need to add a thumping ILB to play next to him on the inside.
