Guys in the league generally salivate at the thought of hitting the open market for this very reason. We must rationalize new info to fit the narrative though, right? I mean it was originally "nobody likes Baalke or wants to work for him or play for his team" to now it's "well Baalke had to have a wreath of $100,000 denominated dollar bills around his neck for anyone to even look at him". You do take some abuse here that you shouldn't, but you kind of ask for it sometimes with this type of [BLEEP]. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I like the fact that they're adding legitimate players in areas of need. Gives them a ton of flexibility in the draft. Hopefully end up with solid and viable depth this year.

Yeah, it's time to stop complaining for once. I'm actually proud of what I see today. We dont know how it will play out, but it is exciting. This is the first time since 2017 that this team is really going after it.

So far based on ESPN rankings:
We've signed 3rd ranked WR, top ranked TE (excluding Gronk who is clearly not available to anyone aside from Tampa), top guard, 2nd ranked DT plus the league top tackler at LB. Pretty great day so far, can we be greedy and go for a few more?!

Obviously. I was just wondering what figure Chark's team was requesting? Because if I was another team, I'd be very hesitant to offer Chark $20 million. The jags have to pay more than other clubs because we’re not a club that players are looking to come to. So you’re gonna have to pay free agents more to come to Jacksonville. But we didn’t pay that much more than he would’ve gotten from another club actually so it’s a good signing We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I never thought that Scherff would want to come here, but I'm glad I was wrong. He immediately gives us a significant upgrade at the LG position. He is worth every penny, whatever we paid. I just hope he stays healthy. This is a nice way to start things off.

Still think they go after another WR and secondary player on defense. This year's draft is going to be very, very fun to watch. Just based on what they have done today. Gives them room to breath and not panic pick players because they need a position filled.
They're not [BLEEP] around with the cap space though. I hope the aggressive approach is a new found spark from Baalke after getting dogged out last year locally. LB in a 3-4 scheme. With that said, he looks much bigger on tape. IMO, he looks closer to 230-235 lbs than he does 215 lbs. I'm guessing we're gonna use him in a lot of nickel packages where he serves as a LB/SS hybrid to cover TE's. If that is the case and he can keep us from being torched by opposing TE's like we have in the past, I won't complain at all. I'm gonna give this one a chance and see what he can do. He certainly put up some impressive stats last season. We just need to add a thumping ILB to play next to him on the inside.
