It's not about size or ability imo. It's that he's spent his career in the slot.. how good will he be outside as a #1 is anyones guess. I like Kirk, I just wish we would have gone after an actual #1 with him. Maybe the draft will provide that.

Zayed Jones is a great pick up. Always known as a pretty fast guy with deep play ability. Some of these guys just aren't familiar. He has good size, good speed, and good hands. He's just had some tough breaks and teams bringing in WRs to replace him.

I am going to assume Zay’s contract reports aren’t accurate until he actually signs for that. If they are correct, that is [BLEEP] awful.

Otherwise I love all of the signings but Kirk. I don’t hate Kirk either, just seems like a crazy big number.

WRs get paid way too much now. 10-12 per year is not that much for an experienced WR.

As an outside receiver he had a poor one reception for every 13 routes ran and a very poor 1.2 yards per route run. As a slot receiver those numbers jumped to a very respectable 5.6 routes per catch and a good 1.8 yards per route run.

Pederson's offense, historically, does not call for the WR position to be the focal point.

It's an RPO, TE centric offense with a RB by commitee approach.

You don't need Kirk to play on the outside consistently in this offense for it to be successful. You just need him to be reliable and open when Pederson decides to call his shot with that position.

Christian Kirk, Zay Jones, Marvin Jones and Jamal Agnew will work well together. Liviska Shenault is the only "odd" man out on paper for me at the moment. Still think they're hoping to draft Jahan Dotson, Christian Watson and Alec Pierce at some point in the draft.

I'll admit this. Speed for speed? I want Jameson Williams from Alabama at 33 if he ends up slipping. I think he can be DeAndre Hopkins level good in the NFL. I would take him over Trey McBride at TE.

I think they could get Jelani Woods, Greg Dulcich or Charlie Kolar now at TE to play TE3 on the team in passing situations behind Arnold and Engram and they'll be solid in 2023 as a starter.

Yes, he's definitely going to be an outside guy with that kind of coin and Jones will be the other? Mr. Drops is manning the slot again or do they rotate the 3 outside and inside between Jones/Kirk and Jones? 

I personally believe DropShenault should get traded or released... He is of no use anymore.

The draft is going to be WR/TE at that position on the draft board. the only question is... who do they like the most? Skyy Moore is intriguing aswell.

With Pederson at the helm, I see creative formations targeted to exploit the weaknesses of the defense through the shifting of personnel.

His offenses generally utilize players who are more effective at route-running than players with the "prototypical" size.

Expect Lawrence to have multiple options available in the intermediate level of the defense.

Still find it amusing when fans get pissy over a team thats won just 4 games over the last 2 years is out spending cap money to improve their team.

They have to do something and they have to do it fast. The goal is to get it done before Lawrence commands a contract that costs you anywhere between 18.5 - 21% of your cap hits per year.

Please, please, please spend money.  Just do so wisely.  Zay Jones has averaged less than 306 yards and less than 1 TD per season over the last 3 years despite being healthy and we're giving him $8 million per year?!?!?  That money could have been used so much better to improve this team somewhere else.

The Scherff signing would not preclude me from going after La'el Collins, especially if he hits the open market.

Given the craziness of salaries this year, we're probably better off trading and taking his current contract.

I definitely would be interested.  If we did, I would rescind the tag on Cam Robinson.  Use the $6 million in savings between Robinson and Collins plus a little extra money and sign a good free agent guard.  We could have a starting lineup of:

Walker Little
TBD Free Agent Guard
Brandon Linder
Brandon Scherff
La'el Collins

Shatley, Bartch and Taylor (assuming we don't upgrade) as backups.

I would really like that for our offensive line.
