What's up with DJ Chark?

I am a little miffed on this one. Chark has to have one crappy agent.

Guess he really didnt like it here, i cant believe we wouldnt have offerred something similar or better.

Hmmm zay jones or chark. Easy decision for me Chark.

Think he overplayed his hand and realised he wasn't getting the mic contract and decided to take a one year prove it deal. I'm positive he wanted a multi year deal but smartly the jags weren't waiting on him and went after who they wanted and didn't settle

Wow. Oh well. Would have been nice to get him back. I dont see the lions being any better any time soon. He left a bad jags team last season for a team that might be bad the next 4 seasons. Smh

Said it months ago that his best option was to sign a 1 year prove it deal.

Wish he had done that here but Chark seems like a good dude. Wish him well.

This smells of the Yawn situation. I think he over valued himself. I'm sure we offered him a decent contract but turned it down because he thought he could get more. That or he just didn't want to be here

Looks like he wanted a change.

I think so, I believe that's why we tagged Cam instead as well.  Don't tag him if he don't want to be herr

The fact he’s gone there for that low tells me how little he wanted to be back in jax

Choosing a 1 year deal with goff over Trevor doesn’t seem like good business. But good luck to him
I don't get it.

If he's tired of the losing, why go to Detroit?!?

If the Jaguars really wanted to re-sign him, they could have at that price, considering what they paid to Zay Jones and Kirk.

Best of luck to him, but I think he made a mistake.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

Sad. I would have MUCH rather had him, than wasting all that money on a slot receiver in Kirk. Chark had so much untapped potential that never got realized here due to a combination of a bad surrounding cast and injuries. I bet he does really well in Detroit. I'd also be willing to guess we didn't even make him an offer or if we did, it was lower than what he got. It's a shame. I think he and Trevor could've formed a good combination.

Did he or did we? Did we even make him an offer or if we did, was it less than what he got? I wouldn't be surprised by either.

Dilla said we offered him 1/7. Chark may not have wanted to be back, but we didn't want him to be back even more.

I get that he wanted a one year deal to rehab his image and cash in on a long term deal next year, and I think he would have been ok doing that here if we had offered him like 1/12 instead of giving Zay 10 mil a year.

I'm not as high as some on Chark anymore, but I'd rather have Chark's potential for another year than Zay's deal.  Will be interesting to compare the two players' trajectories this season.

Yeah Zay is a head scratcher to me

And now I'm reminded we signed zay jones to a bigger contract than chark signed.

if he does, sounds like we can throw cash at him next season.

Chark's injury history is a bigger question mark than his potential. I think that's a big reason why he only got a year. Prove that you can finish a season, payday will come.

A year on turf/indoor track, probably first or second target, and they do have possibility of darfting someone to replace Goff.

A lot of potential for playing from behind, so a lot of garbage time stats to inflate numbers when contract renewals come up this time next year...

As a young guy sometimes you're just ready for a change.

I was in a profession where we changed locations every 1- 4 years and I was always ready to go!

Though his body language last year told me he was ready to go. Even before he got hurt. I don't know if it was the Urban guy or........I watched his body language on some the TL throws and........I don't think he liked how TL threw the ball.

If you've ever played WR, there's some QBs you just don't like how they throw the ball lol. He loved Minshew ball, but maybe TL had too much velocity on it.

I would unshake hands with zay and offer chark a mil more than detroit. But thats the horse trader in me.

Way to take care of your own Jacksonville…

As much as I like the new additions, I would really like to build a reputation as a team that keeps their home grown talent.
