Between seeing his intro press conference and then watching highlights, I have to tell you: im super impressed by the maturity and poise this guy has. I had no idea who he was originally, but NFL.com had him as a 'fun breakout candidate' on their top 100 FA's list, and described him a 'rolling ball of butcher knives'. Between him on the D-Line, Foye in the LB Corps, and Cisco/Williams manning the secondary this defense can actually get back to locking down the bank.

In the 2020 NFL season, the only IDL players in the league that PFF graded higher than Fatukasi in run defense were: Calais Campbell, Mike Purcell, and Aaron Donald. In 2021 the Jets asked him to play the one-tech in a 4-3 and it didn't work as well. He'll be back to a 3-4 NT with the Jags and should flourish against the run in that system. Fatukasi manning the NT spot backed by Oluokun at ILB could represent the best attempt at upgrading the Jags run defense we've seen in years.

Yes w/him now being the starter at the position gives us Much Better depth at the position. I did my homework and watched his highlights. Dude is STOUT (not yelling) to say the least of which will definately help our Run defense.

I think that his best ball is ahead of him.
Respect the game. Play with a sense of urgency.
1.) Take care of the ball. Win the turnover battle. 2.) It's all about 3rd down. Win on 3rd down to win the game. 3.) Playmakers make plays. The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays. Learn from the great collapse of 2023. Very intelligent and passionate about his beliefs and motivations. He was a team captain on the Jets last year. I bet he winds up as a defensive captain this year. “Motivation alone is not enough.
