What do y'all think of the Centers in the draft? Do y'all just want to run it back with Linder/Shatley?

I figure Linderbaum would be too expensive for the Jags given all the holes that need to be filled. but what about a later flyer on one of the mid round guys?

This draft is loaded with good Center prospects. We absolutely HAVE to get one. I'd take any of these guys..... Tyler Linderbaum, Zion Johnson, Zach Tom, Cole Strange, Alec Lindstrom, Dohnovan West, Nick Ford or Cam Jergens.

Zach Tom is the one I want. Ridiculous athlete and tied the 4.47 elite SS threshold, which you really want for your center cause he slide blocks so much. If he's there at 102 it would be fantastic. Cam Jurgens and Alec Lindrom (yes the former Falcons 1st rounders brother) would be the other guys I would count as developmental starters I would want.

There were some other real high RAS guys that would be good flier candidates I forget their names, and there are plenty of guards that could play center if trained to do so also.

Love Zach Tom. He can also play OT as well. That would give us real versatility. Cole Strange is another player I'm very high on.

I really wish he did some agility drills, but it does look like Watson can be some fascimile of early career Mike Williams right out of the gate. Just let him run 9s and curls all day and he's bound to make a play or two a game and draw some attention from Kirk and co underneath. Might as well at this point.

And the one right below that. What are the chances Travon Walker could sneak in as the dark horse for the #1 overall pick. He fits the prototype that Baalke likes. Big and long bodied athletic guys.

Walker is a mutant and it wouldn't shock me if Baalke had him at the top of his list. He was soooo buttery smooth in the wave drill at the combine. He was flipping his hips like a cornerback. 100% believe he could wind up being the best player from this draft when we look back.

Just ler him run 9s and curls all day because he didn't do agility drills?  [BLEEP] lol.  You say some weird [BLEEP] some times lol.  You could see the talent before the combine, . Same with Walker, dude was a beast all season.  DJ had him going 5 before the combine.  These guys were already going high, the combine just confirmed they're good athletes. You put waaaaayyyyyyyyy to much much into combine numbers.

I had Walker going 5 to the Giants before the combine too. Now I wouldn't do it, but I also wouldn't be completely shocked, if he went #1.

His biggest issue is drops.  He played in a run heavy offense, it's unknown how good he can be.  But he was explosive when given the chance.  Give him the whole playbook unless he shows he can't handle it.  The mocks can change ones mind on a player.  You have guys you think are the best players in the league, then they have them going bottom of the 1st or 2nd and then they shoot them up the draft boards.  For the most part they were always at the top of GMs boards.  Players interviews could cause some player movement on GMs boards

Strange played some Center during Senior Bowl week and they were talking on NFL Network that he projected there in the NFL. He also played OT/OG and Center in college.

the weird thing about Tom is he played LT and Center. It was at Wake, though, so I have no idea if he was undersized LT or moved inside based on football intelligence, or what. That's an odd transition. Might be a calculated risk projecting him at either guard spot. If we took him, he'd probably follow Bartch's development path, where you almost never see him year 1 (which is a good thing, meaning you haven't had to rely on last resorts), gradual increases in play time over year two, and expectation to compete for starter by year 3.

Lindstrom is definitely one I would favor choosing, and OLM has touted Nick Ford out of Utah, who basically played everywhere on the line except at TE. He's one I'd toss a later pick on, could be versatile developmental depth.

Yeah Tom could probably play tackle, he was thought to be a C cause he was undersized but his arms and wingspan came in fine. He's a little short but it's not a deathknell to me.

I need to see Nick Ford's pro day results before I really comment on him.

PFF Mike gave us Leo Chenal at 33 in his latest mock and I gotta say it makes a ton of sense. I didn't know until he said it, but Devin White was the #1 off ball LB blitzer last year. Chenal and Lloyd are by far the best blitzing LB in this class. I would probably still gamble on one of the large amount of really good LB in this class to fall to 65, but if we are going to take one at 33 I think Chenal is the right one to take.

He also had us taking Ross and Dulcich at 65 and 70 and that would be pretty darn good too.

Chenal was used primarily as a pass rusher inside. He's not that great against the run. I'd prefer a run stuffing ILB to pair with the athleticism of Foye Oluokun.

I think we'd have to trade up a lot higher than 26 to get one of the top WR's (London, Williams, Olave, Wilson or even Dotson.) Given what has gone down in the past week, I have all of those receivers gone by pick #22. London to Atlanta at #8, Williams to the NYJ at #10, Wilson to Philadelphia at #19, Olave to New England at #21 and Dotson to Green Bay at #22. I'd try to at least get to #20 overall and that would cost us our 2nd round pick and the first of our 3rd round picks according to the NFL Draft trade chart that the league uses. I'd do it.

I would trade up to get one of the big 4. After them I don't think there's another top 40 WR in this class. Now I won't be upset if we take Pickens or Watson at 33, but I sure wouldn't trade up for it and would consider it a small but understandable reach.

I do not want Burks or Dotson at 33 even if they're available, we need an X. If we're not drafting an X then I want to take BAP somewhere else like Cine or one of the great LB...wouldn't even hate another pass rusher like Mafe we really need some pass rush depth too and Mafe sure would be BAP.
