I geniunely expect 8-9 with a slight chance of a playoff berth. Why? Because even tho most people on this board think I want Trevor to fail, I do not think he's going to. I think he will at the very least, be above average and I expect him to have a huge jump from year 1 to year 2 due to having a real offensive minded NFL headcoach, a much improved offensive line and hopefully a better lineup at WR. But mainly due to him having a year under his belt to learn from and get better. The defense, honestly should also be much better with the arrival of Aidan Hutchinson presumeably, a nice few additions from free agency and of course rookies Campbell and Cisco having more experience (and in Ciscos case, actually being put on the field) Our defense at times last year was abysmal but there were some flashes that made me think it might just be a few pieces and some experience away from being top half of the league good.

Not necessarily.  Let me put it in layman's terms .  If one is seeking a girl on the dating market at 1:30am in Jax Beach on a Saturday night, jagaurmvp prefers a narrow parameter option of a girl weighing from 110 to 130 pounds.  The original option is a parameter of a girl weighing from 110 to 150 pounds.  Your vast option includes any female weighing between 60 to 210 pounds.

As can see, it's really a different level of measurement.

Let me put it in layman's terms for you; 6-10 wins is a range that runs from a losing season to a likely playoff berth (in fact, to the record of the Superbowl runners up last year...) That's not a helpful range. To put it in perspective, last year that's the range from earning the 7th pick in the draft to being a FG away from winning the Superbowl. Most of the league fell in that range. Ranking teams by draft order, only seven teams fall outside the span from the 6-win team to the lowest-drafting 10-win team.

You could have just said "no option for corn" and saved yourself a lot of keystrokes.

considering the Jags have the toughest schedule in nfl again just like they do every year. 6 wins would be impressive. I am not expecting very comptive games still.   

Doug hasn't showed his coaching in jacksonville yet in a meanfugial game. we had hype from last serveal jags Head Coaches about turning the culture around,and all have faild,and been big dissapoints. 

if we are lucky jags will win 6 games,but im not expecting it. I am expecting maybe 4 to 5 wins this year,unless doug proves to be the head coach that does what he said,and acctuttly changes the culture with help from the right player. 

A winning HC knows who the right players are.

The Jaguars have the 26th ranked schedule and are only two games away from being tied for the easiest schedule in the NFL.

At the same time, do you think that the interceptions Trevor threw directly into a linebackers hands, or passes that soared over his WRs heads (uncatchable) would have changed based on the WRs? Ofcourse not.

I merely pointed out that you've clearly changed your mind on Trevor Lawrence. 

You have posted on more than one occasion that nothing from his rookie season gave you reason for hope -  and you repeatedly called other posters "homers" and "nut huggers" for citing bad play around him and bad coaching as reasons he struggled. 

NOW - you have said you expect Trevor Lawrence in year 2 to be "at the very least - above average" and that you expect "a huge jump due to having a real NFL HC." 

Your prior comments are in direct contradiction to your newfound declaration of Trevor Lawrence expectations as well as the factors of his rookie year struggles. 

Is there something wrong with me pointing out how different your prior comments are to this new stance you've taken?

agreed, I think the early games will be peppered with some avoidable mistakes while everyone settles in. Hoping that we see a strong finish. Maybe we play the spoiler like we did last year.

Start slow then pick up some steam midseason. Tail off a bit in the last quarter of the season as the rookies hit the wall. I could see 7 or 8 wins easy. We beat the clots in TIAA again. ;-)
