I don't have much faith in tiny scrawny Running Backs.

Barry Sanders was 5'8" - 203 lbs

I don't think Etienne is Sanders by any stretch - but Pederson definitely had a package of plays in Philly for the scat-back-type player. I'm sure he can utilize ETN's skillset in his Jags playbook effectively - and his  5'10" - 215 lb stature won't diminish that at all.

I'm gonna need to see that skinny guy get on a scale myself.

Barry Sanders was thick. Etienne is not. Not even close. He looks like a WR.

It's Jamal Agnew for me. He'll be entering this season on his 2nd year of a 3 year contract and in the few opportunities that he had on offense he flashed some really good qualities. This year and next are really going to be his only legitimate opportunities left to showcase everything he has as a football player.

I honestly expect big things out of him. I expect to see his name being mentioned and highlighted throughout all of summer camp here locally. If he holds up physically I think he's going to be one of those players that ultimately wins us a game or two just on special teams alone and I could see him making crazy catches here and there like he did against the Bengals.

He's capable of being probably a top three to four receiver on this team. I know some of you don't want to hear that after the Christian Kirk and Zay Jones signing but I really don't care. As long as the production is there and this team is winning games I am not going to complain about somebody else's money being spent on a team that I don't own.

But, yeah. He's my pick. Given his age, his contract, etc. He has to elevate himself at some point if he's looking to get one more big fat payday before he hits the critical age of 30 in the NFL. I expect a Darren Sproles type role for him in Pederson's offense.

The ball gets spread around a lot and it doesn't typically focus on any one player. So, I think it's a good thing for a lot of guys this year. But, especially good for a guy like Jamal Agnew. It'll keep him fresh and ready to jump in and out of the line up to make splash plays.

You wanna talk about burst! This dude is crazy fast. He glides on top of the grass. He’s a guy that can take the top off. He’s unbelievably fast/quick.

Man…I haven’t heard that name in a while. What could have been. The Miami game where Taylor busted one for 77 yards on the first play of the game, Fred left the game with an injury and Banks came in and rushed for 75 yards on 9 carries which was good for 8.33 ypc.

He also had 1 catch for 6 yards and 2 kick returns for 35 yards. (116 total yards)

Taylor was a superstar so Banks never got a lot of time on the field. Maybe if Tavian doesn’t get hurt in the Falcons game, the Lions sign Banks instead of James Stewart?

I see those highlights and pure joy wells up inside me!  I had forgotten what speed at RB looks like until I saw those Banks clips.  Dude could accelerate.  And watching Travis' highlights fills me with hope.  If he can be 95% of what he was before the lisfranc, we're gonna have some fun Sundays.

I hope he's a late bloomer and this team is starting to catch said bloom. Pederson can find a role for him on this offense. I think he's somebody that needs to be accounted for. Especially with his running ability. He's a natural there already because of his special teams qualities but he just has a certain look to him that could put him in that role of outside threat, motion threat and out of the backfield threat. 

Should be a fun watch this season. I think there's some good pieces on offense already. Between Agnew, Robinson & Etienne I think they'll be a lot more creative offensively this year. I think you're going to see some really cool packages out of the backfield with Lawrence going back to a style of play that he was comfortable with and ran a lot out of with the RPO from Clemson.

Book it. As long as everybody is healthy. I bet you there's going to be a scary package or formation developed at some point that manages to have all three of them on the football field. Etienne and Agnew can be split out wide and motioned in and out of the backfield and that gives Robinson a chance to narrow down his lanes if it ultimately leads to a run choice by Lawrence. 

I don't think Pederson ever had as fast or as good as a line-up at RB (potentially) during his 5 year stint with the Eagles. He had a wide variety of players like Sproles, Blount, Ajayi, Smallwood, Sanders, Howard and Scott but he was able to mix and match a lot of what he likes to do over the years. Robinson, Etienne and Agnew offer some interesting combinations IMHO.

I just want to point out that everyone is saying Campbell, Little, Etienne, and Cisco. These are all guys that we drafted in one year. Maybe Baalke actually knows what he is doing in the draft? It gives me hope. I also understand that most of our talented players leave after their rookie deal is finished but still. Also, an underrated name may be Shaq Quarterman, it is a flyer but he will definitely be getting a lot of PT since our LB group is so thin. He didn’t seem terrible when he was subbed in I saw potential, what do y’all think?

I'm guessing if you asked the same question of the other 31 NFL teams, the names of rookies would overwhelmingly dominate their responses as well, particularly if they had rookies drafted in the early rounds last year that played minimally.  The longer the player has been in the league, the less likely he is to have a breakout.

I would argue that Campbell has already broken out, at least in his ability to be a competent starter.  As for the others, it is major speculation.  Little only played in approximately 20% of the offensive snaps while Cisco only played in 22% of defensive snaps.   Etienne has yet to play a regular season down in the NFL.  If all of those players do break out, then yes, it will have been a good draft.  However, that still needs to be seen.

My best guess is that Pederson would prefer to let his return guy be a return guy first and foremost - with perhaps a small package of plays at receiver that get him on the field for a half dozen offensive snaps or so each week.  It's just speculation on my part though. 

There are plenty of scenarios that could wind up giving Agnew much more opportunity. Maybe the staff sees that potential and wants to showcase it, maybe his reserve role turns into more due to injury or lack of production above him on the depth chart. Who knows? 

He's really fun to watch and I certainly wouldn't hate seeing him have a big season, I just hope we don't NEED him to be the guy producing at receiver in order to win games this year.

It's the combination of home run speed/acceleration and receiving ability is what made me think of Tavian Banks when I saw Etienne last year, and why I was so excited about the Etienne pick.  I am hoping like hell he is 100% recovered and is at his pre injury level.

Banks was amazing.

I have more short term thoughts if Banks does not get hurt.  I think he would have provided the additional big play threat that could have put us over the hump against the tacks in 1999.
