It does remind me of when I was seeing a shrink in Jacksonville back 20 years ago. He had a tiny little TV in the waiting room that had rabbit ears and he had it tuned to soap operas or daytime talk shows. The picture was super fuzzy. I kept thinking some of those talk shows maybe weren't what should be on in a waiting room full of people who were anxious, depressed, had OCD, bipolar, schizophrenic, etc. Lol.

I remember during hurricane Matthew or the one the following year (Irma?) we were at the Baptist south ER while the power was out due to our daughter having a 103 temperature after alternating Motrin and Tylenol.  We pretty much caught the whole back to the future part 2.  Aside from the circumstances, not a bad 1:00 -300 in the morning.

It's Jack Nicholson movie week!  What should we watch today..............."The Shining" or "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"?

The Shining is still one of my all time favorite movies. Stephen King hated it because it veered so far from the storyline in the book. Little did he understand that Stanley Kubrick vastly improved it.

Took a girl I had just met to see it on our first date.  Funny, she never returned my calls after.

Well, I just splurged on a bottle of Bourbon. It's Motorhead Special Bourbon..... with delivery charges, it was $85.98. I think I just wanted it more for a show piece than anything but...... I will try it and see what it's like. Hope it's good. BTW, Motorhead is one of my favorite bands........

You should work on your game.  That being said, after 20 years not being in “the game” I’m not sure how I’d handle it.  If my wife had a heart attack or we spit, I’d be up the creek without a paddle.  So many choices and not enough game.

My home automation quit working. At least one light. No, I don’t usually use my phone to turn lights on or off. But I like it for when out of town and the rare convenience. These switches have been one by one going out. The living room went out and for three days we were unable to turn the light on. I replaced the switch today, connect it to the hub. Won’t turn the light on. The app shows it’s on when I manually do it. The app makes the switch make an audible noise suggesting the app is working in sync with the switch. The light just won’t come on. Since we have had to replace a few of these switches at 60/ per switch I was quite disappointed my light wasn’t working. Also, confused as to why it connected to the hub and seemed to respond both ways without any lights working. I had an ahah moment. My kid must’ve somehow pulled the chain controlling the light. My kid is about 4 feet tall and a reach of maybe 5 and a half at best. This chain that you’d pull on the ceiling fan is about 7 feet high. 60 bucks later, about 5 minutes of replacing the switch and all the aggravation, I pull the chain and on come the lights. I feel like wringing her neck.

I will now.  But considering that chain has been pulled maybe 2 times in the 14 years in the house and the fact that those switches seem to only have like a 3 year shelf life it didn’t even dawn on me.  Kids cost ya money.  It was like trying to start a chainsaw with the lever in the off position.  (We usually let the user sweat their butt off and [BLEEP] about the equipment first before we make them look stupid and tell them though)

Been having trouble sleeping a lot lately. CBD was suggested to me quite a while back but was never near any where that sold it so...... Had to go to Walkersville today to get my Hearing Aids worked on and there was a shop 3 door up from where I was at that had it. I'll give them a try, my Daughter swears by CBD stuff.....

Bacon is incredibly difficult to do yourself. I tried to cure and cold smoke some bacon when I butchered our pig it was ok but man it's really and art to get it right. I think next year I'll pay a butcher to do it for me. Took me two days to quarter all the cuts right and I was a bloody mess.

I'm actually kinda sick of bacon..Guess I'm still on a pork strike.

I even opt for the white rice instead of pork fried..
