M. Wright (K) Released - Other Roster Moves

NH3...

I'll agree that I'd have liked to see both kick in live play before making the decision. But, the team has a history of letting players go early in the offseason so they have time to sign with another team and have a good chance at making their roster.

I imagine if we kept him around till first cuts in preseason, he'd have to wait for a team to lose a kicker to injury before getting picked back up.

Here's hoping the UDFA transitions well.

Kinda surprised they just outright cut him.  He wasn't a stud but was pretty reliable.  Seemed like they would have wanted to see how the others worked out first.  Still, nothing to lose sleep over.

Expect other players going all around the league. A few teams will need to do just that to sign their draft class.

Don't know much about Marin and Berry, but was happy that Baalke has realized that there is a waiver wire.

Yea, he has. Realistically we have 91 on the roster. About 40 of them are going to make the team, the other 50 of those guys are fighting for 13 roster spots. I expect the bottom 5 or so of those guys will churn from now till the season begins.

It now makes since. Mevis, our new kicker played for Fordham, Shad Khan"s Soccer team. Let's pray that it works out.

I think he was the Mayor of DC that got busted in a sting operation when he brought a hooker back to his room and smoked crack.

No, no, he was Chuck's cousin in Back to the Future, with that 'new sound' that he was looking for.

That was Marvin...Marvin Berry.

Michael Wright would be a Hall of Famer if he could just find a Head Coach that loves to do the onside kick.
