I think I still owe them like $50 from like 30+ years ago lolol

I can remember mom would get albums from CH on the regular. IIRC the business model was "we send you a cherry-picked album each month, if you like it send us 3x what you could buy it for in the store"

Haha, I remember Metallica having issues with Napster.  Man, brings back some times.

It’s really hard behind the anonymity of the internet not to push one’s buttons.  No offense to him, but if he’s gonna open up about not quoting… he’s inviting it. No hard feeling, at least on my part…

Money changes a lot of perspective. In their earlier days, they'd have punched older them square in the face for the stance they took.

I lost a ton of respect for them during that time, and still have trouble enjoying their early stuff. Everything from the Napster era forward has been unlistenable tripe, so I guess they were doing us a favor and limiting the possibilty of exposure to their forthcoming material.

Right, they would send you a list of 100 CDs or cassettes that were all at least a year old.  You could pick 5 to 10 of them and they'd send them to you for only like $10, the shipping/handling charge, but you had to agree to buy one or two full price albums later.  And full price was like $25 including shipping/handling.  That part was a good deal.  The full price albums were generally new releases.  The part that was a bad deal is you had to know to cancel as soon as you'd met your obligation or else they'd keep sending you full price albums and billing you for them.

I remember CH would hammer you for S&H on the full price albums. Different but similar to the $19.95 Ginzu knives...you'd get a ton of extra free stuff with them, but they would ding you with extra shipping charges for all of it. Loved those Ginzu commercials...I spent a lot of my childhood sneaking the knives into my bedroom and trying to chop things in midair....

Those handling charges for all those “freebies” were mafia extortion level prices!

Those don't even come close to cell phone "roaming" charges (but you're not old enough to remember those).

Both Cinderella and Fog Dog are good strains. Sativa/hybrid. Takes the pain away, you feel high as hell and yet, you're pretty much alert and still have your witts about ya..

And is it just me? Or anyone else ever notice that a lot of these hollywood women like Jennifer Aniston or Demi Moore get better and better looking with age?

I recently saw a commercial with Demi Moore in it, with Mila Kunackis (sp?). Hawter than ever..

Sorry, went a little off the rails.. I smoked a vegetable..

Anniston is still pretty but she was better 20.years ago IMO. Far too many of them overdo the surgery and end up like poor Courtney Cox.

OK, I need to rant about this a little bit...... I know it may seem trivial but...... I think that the computer keyboard needs to be redesigned, I keep hitting one particular key and only notice that I did after I've typed a [BLEEP] load of text so...... To all you computer hardware designers, either move the [BLEEP] caps lock key or get rid of the [BLEEP] thing...... DEATH TO THE CAPS LOCK KEY! There, I've said it!!!!!!!

I don't know, I disagree. I think age has done her well.

Was watching Stranger Things and I think Wynonna Ryder is the same way. Just got better looking with age.

Cortney Cox might be on the outside lookin in..
