The times I’ve been with him at HD he has never had to show proof. But, to my knowledge, there aren’t any restrictions. That being said, if you buy a name brand item, I can see why it may not apply. Some things have their price from the manufacturer. We don't have a HD here. Lowe's new military discount policy is no appliances, period. Six months ago I would have gotten the discount. Not now. It also extends to some building materials, electrical equipment and other random stuff. Fort Bragg is a 45 minute drive away and a lot of active duty, veterans and retired folks live here and people are pissed off about this new policy according to the guy that helped us. Sadly we lack local competition in the form of another home improvement store so unless we want to drive an hour to the nearest competitor we're limited with our choices. With gas at $4.39/gallon no one is making that trip if they don't have to. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I never knew there were so many “hot Ukrainian” girls available. I’ve heard of the Asians, and Latinos. But I guess there is a slew of very hot Ukrainians wanting men here in the US? At least that is what the ads show.

If you give her your credit card info, she'll book a flight tomorrow.

I ordered a piece of electronics from Amazon on Sunday. They told me they would deliver it the very next day. They give you a link to track your package.
On Monday, the tracker says as of 10AM it's on the truck and out for delivery. Since this thing cost about $900, I decided to stay home so I could get it off the porch asap. A little later, I check the tracker, and it says delivery is expected between 1 and 4 PM. At about 3 PM, the tracker starts showing the location of the truck, which is right down the street from me. The tracker says, the truck will come to your house next. A half hour later, according to the tracker, the truck has passed my house and is on the next block. Then the tracker starts saying the truck has a few more deliveries to make before it gets to your house. 4PM passes, still no delivery. The tracker shows the truck going all over my neighborhood. Then, a little later, the tracker is no longer showing the physical location of the truck, and it says the delivery will be before 10PM. Okay. So I wait, 10PM passes, and now the tracker says sorry we missed the delivery time, your order will still get there today. At 11 PM I give up and go to bed. This morning, the tracker says, sorry the delivery is late, if it doesn't get there by tomorrow, you can apply for a refund. I know Amazon probably delivers millions, if not billions, of packages a day, but they all have a QR code which allows them to track all the packages, and they know it was on the truck. So where did it go? Just into thin air, like, poof?

You’ll most likely get it today. The refund statement is standard blurb. Most likely what happened is the driver missed your delivery, for whatever reason. This has happened to me a few times and only once did I receive a refund for no delivery. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Sometimes we have too much information at our fingertips. I can remember when an order would be placed and "7-10 business days" was the only promise or confirmation of delivery you'd get. I understand your frustration, but it's also pretty amazing that you can place an order from your couch today and (reasonably) expect the package on your doorstep within 48 hours or less. Things happen, like truck breakdowns, driver shortages (if one guy calls in sick, other drivers have to pick up their slack and also re-learn routes), or incorrect sorting put your package on the wrong truck. The only time I've ever had an issue with delivery was an item shipped from China to our door. It must have gotten stuck on a container ship, because after about a month we got our refund and ordered something with a better delivery guarantee. Like 3 weeks later, the package finally arrived. It wasn't anything special, so we weren't THAT upset, but it was inconvenient and wifey learned a lesson about online shopping ![]() When we lived in an apartment complex, the delivery driver would leave packages at the front desk, and neither driver nor front desk would notify us that a package was recieved. But, shipper provided family with tracking info and that said "delivered", so we ended up reporting 3 or 4 packages as lost or stolen before we finally figured out what those ding dongs were doing. Talk about frustrating.

A yard sign I saw in a local neighborhood. Not a hand made sign either. It was professionally printed. Most likely from a middle school suckering money out of over indulgent parents.
“Home of a future freshman and graduate of class of 2026!” Are you [BLEEP] kidding me? We’ve gone beyond giving participation trophies and are now bestowing commendation on events four years in the future?

101° here today in central NC with a heat index of 110° and breezy. Hubby says it will feel like satan's farts. Last night it still felt like mid-90s at nearly midnight.
My Alexa went off this morning with a heat advisory warning for today. Oh goody.
