FBI data contradicts Murphy's claims on young adults and active shootings

While the Senate negotiations on a legislative response to the recent mass murders in Buffalo and Uvalde continue, Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy told CNN on Thursday morning that an attempt to ban adults under the age of 21 from purchasing modern sporting rifles is now “off the table” as the two sides work to find something they can present to their colleagues that might win approval from 10 Republican senators.

The analysis ignores the real problem. The FBI data shows 61 active shooter incidents. The gender split was 60 men, 1 woman.

New laws need to stop men owning guns.

It was Men (and some women) with guns that bought and paid for your freedom, the price, their own blood.......

60 incidents among 330 million people. Completely immaterial.

You want to keep prohibited people from getting Firearms, then tell the ATF to di their job........

Few prosecuted for lying on ATF paperwork

The ATF has come down on various companies for various things, things that are only illegal because the bureau says they are. JSD Supply comes to mind, among others.

Yet there are things that are explicitly illegal and it’s not really a regulatory matter. Things like lying on Form 4473s while trying to buy guns.

Doing so is a crime.

And yet, it seems it’s rarely prosecuted.
