McConaughey does okay with a prepared stage and statement. Let’s see how he does in a free for all debate. I’m thinking not so well.

Such a tired argument.
Even if you grant the point that the summer 2020 protests were just as serious as the 2021 insurrection, they're both wrong.  That would just mean there should be more prosecution of the leaders of the 2020 protests, not that there should be less prosecution of the insurrection.

His point is that the scope of the BLM riots was far greater and more damaging than the Federal Agent-initiated violence at the Capital yet most of the BLM "activists" were let off scot-free and Congress couldn't be bothered to stage a Witch Hunt hearing to address those actual riots but can find time to persecute the overwhelmingly peaceful demonstrators from the D.C. event. And he's right to point out the disparity in treatment between the left's prized criminals and the American Patriots of January 6th. But you know that already Capt. Contrarian.

Jack Del Rio has always been a piece of crap. When things weren't going well during his stint in Jacksonville, he placed the blame on everyone but himself. His political views are not at all surprising. He only apologized for his "dust up" comment to save his job, even though Daniel Snyder must have loved what Del Rio said.

A breach by a mob determined to attack the Vice President and the Speaker of the House was, in your mind, less serious than earlier riots in other cities? Were any judges or other local officials harmed or threatened with harm by any of those riots?
You say the US congress should hold hearings on these other protests, but not on the one where Congress itself was attacked?
And I'm the contrarian?

The mob that "breached" was let in and did not breach anything. The "mob" was also full of feds and antifa to setup the rest of the people that were peaceful.

For a self proclaimed Republican who always sides with the kept you're either gullible, ignorant, lying, or an intentional contrarian. Likely all four I guess.

Let me explain this to you for the nth time.  An insurrection is the overthrow (or attempt to overthrow) a government and seizure of power with a new government.  What new form of government were the insurrectionists seeking to install?  Socialist?  Communist?  Dictatorship?  Was there to be a Senate or a House of Representatives in the new regime?  Were state boundaries to be eliminated?

You've repeatedly insisted the "insurrectionists" were attempting to prevent a process of government from occurring, which defeats your own argument.  A true insurrection doesn't recognize the validity of the existing government, it denies it.  It says, "That's not your government anymore, this is your government now."

The most you can say about Jan. 6th is that some individuals attempted to obstruct the operation of government.  That's a serious charge, but not remotely as serious as insurrection.  It's quite possible some went there with the intention of obstruction.  I think the vast majority just got caught up in the excitement and acted stupidly.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

They literally showed, last night, the timestamped sequenced videos of people pushing through barricades and breaking windows.
People weren't "let in" until a lot of violence had already taken place.
The committee says they've identified the people who pushed through and broke windows.

I'm sure our government can't possibly create fake timestamps. That's almost like sorcery to them.

There are documented timelines that show what happened and when. You need to go read them, they show the feds and antifa leading the efforts to get people inside. The barriers were removed that blocked the perimeter by fed, then he tries to get people to comes inside. Police could have stopped it but didn't. Then people start filling in, Police move backwards some. Goes on like this for a while. Then the cops remove other barriers to get more people to come up close.

The doors didn't even need to be opened. Nothing was going to happen, just look at all the other rallies for Trump. People weren't violent and didn't attack police. Nothing was destroyed in the building, everything was relatively calm. You saw the violence either coming from the cops and some people responding. The instigators also got involved and tried to create he reaction so it would blow up.

I'll find the timing funny if on Monday the SC releases their ruling and the left starts a real insurrection while the fake committee is having another hearing.
