That was such a meh hold on the Punt return. I would be stunned if it doesn't happen every return. #35 around 14 seconds in as he is running from the right edge of the screen.

It is true but it’s misleading. A player fresh out of college is a “rookie” but if a player is cut and doesn’t make the roster for a team in what’s supposed to be their “rookie” year they’re then a 1st year player when they return to camp the next year.

This is because it goes by “accrued seasons” so if a player was cut in training camp 4 consecutive years and then came back to a training camp for a 5th time, they’re still a 1st year player because they’re in the process of accruing that first season spent on a roster in the NFL
Championship Formula:

1) Draft Trevor Lawrence!
2) Play good physical Defense!
3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy!
4) ???
5) Blank #2
6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

We need to find a serviceable backup QB during the preseason cuts. We are one injury away from another 1 or 2 win season.

This is interesting, very misleading jargon.

CJ is the backup QB and he didn't play tonight.

Also, finding even a serviceable backup QB is few and far between regardless.

Literally just saw the same exact type of Jersey being pulled on that last touchdown and of course no flag

Are we going to end this game without a TD? That would be kinda embarrassing on national television.

I'm including Beathard as part of my comment.

You got a better chance at winning the Mega Millions jackpot than you do finding a serviceable backup QB during preseason cuts.

One registered TD would be nice.

Why my Pavlovian reaction to any Jags play over 20 yards....it’s coming back.

Curious when I heard mention that both HCs had spoken and agreed on limiting blitzing and formations.  Not surprised McDaniels, a Belichick-disciple would not honor the gentleman’s agreement by blitz packages and exotic formations.  Such a piece of shite (I’m Irish, it’s OK).

I didn't watch the second half either but was expecting the usual preseason angst after a meaningless game. If it makes you feel any better, here's another perspective.

Walker looked very good. Living up to the hype so far.

Cisco should have been playing last year.

Raiders depth >>>>>>>>>>>>> Jags depth

Only takeaways from this game and I'm fine with all of them.
