They’ve painted themselves into a woke corner. They completely underestimated the left’s proclivity to push things to the extreme.

They have actually reversed that policy as too many employees complained and there were constant safety issues. Now they are even closing a lot of the stores with issues.

Later on I asked him how much the cup of coffee was.  He didn't blink an eye and said that it was "around $6".  This was back in or around 2013/2014.  Who in the hell back then would pay $6 for a cup of coffee?  We are talking maybe 8oz. or so.!

As far as the employees trying to unionize... good luck.  A business like that can find anyone with a pulse to pour over-priced coffee.  The employees there have no real skill.  In my opinion they are probably paid way too much.

I am guessing that many locations are franchise owners.  If they have to pay mindless employees who spend more time on their phones larger wages, they probably will fold.

It wasn't coffee if it was $6, it had to be another type of drink. I've ordered drinks that are $8-9 with my free stars but I'd never pay for it. They are great for convenience only and you usually get the same tasting drink. Depending on what you want, you can tweak your drink order and get things cheaper than the on the menu price is. I'm normally well under $5 for a venti drink with 4 shots.

When at home you can make a lot better than Starbucks even with a cheap espresso maker. You can also make cold brew with a cheap $15 coffee sock that is better than Starbucks unless you want the nitro infused stuff.

Of course I did. I have no strong opinion. It’s a government bureaucracy which is, and has been, susceptible to corruption like any other.

But you do have a strong, specific opinion on them.  You are outraged that they would disclose who participated or did not yet participate in the vote.  Or at least you were, around noon today.

My mom ordered a black coffee with cream at a Starbucks in NYC once.
, dad, a black coffee. we had to wait. They had no clue [BLEEP] we were ordering. Other than that, it was a great trip to NYC. Lots of hooks to see all the cool [BLEEP] without the wait and my bro even flew the only civilian aircraft that was allowed in the air on 9/11. Good time for all, unless you wanted regular [BLEEP] coffee.

It's one thing to vote and it be a matter of public record that someone has to take the time to look up.

It's an entirely different thing to vote and have that info is passed on for a very specific purpose, legal or not.

That's like having your name and number in a phone book that anyone can look at vs your name and number being actively given out.

The two cases are basically the same.  You can't just go to the supervisor's website and download voting records.  You have to be a candidate or involved in a campaign.  We can assume that the NRLB also only discloses the union voting records to the union and the employer, no one else.

You just don't like or trust unions. Which is fine. But that's making you say things that aren't logical.

OK, then why are you insisting that these are different things?

No, I had an opinion of this particular event.
