Very gnarly storm passing through right now.  Like an idiot, I’m outside watching it and the trees swaying back and for.  Very reminiscent of a tropical storm or Matthew and Irma as far as I remember.  Maybe worse.  Half in of rain in about 15 minutes.  Winds are kicking!

9 minutes later:   1.24 inches and this lighting is getting a bit close for my liking.   I’ll see what happens.

If the storm you are referring to was the one that blew up in the Bartram Park area about 6PM, then yes! There was hail for about 5 minutes. I was concerned that a tornado would be next, since hail is one of the big indicators of tornadic activity.

Possibly, they were tracking 2 storms.  Both heading in the same general area.  You may have gotten the bigger one just a tad northeast.  I didn’t see any hail.   Hopefully you didn’t get any damage from it.

Our job is similar in many regards.  We’ve got our “quota”and nobody on the crew wants to work longer than need be to achieve it.  We’ve got 57 between the 2 “boats” to call it a week.  We’ve gotten lucky so far.  If it rains on us prior to 300 tomorrow… we all pissed off.  Boss man included. I’ll dump Voss water on your yard if I have to.  Just let us get through this week!!!

No it’s just me venting.   We’ve got a five star google review and a 4.9 on Angi/HomeAdvisor.  We’ve got a job that sucks and people look down upon for it and we bust our [BLEEP] to to get your lawn done on the day of service.  Inclement weather hits, we still make it happen.  Whether our trained professionals weedeat halfway your damn lawn or “walk on eggshells” to mow it, and you are never privy to it.  Im jaded. I’ve made good money doing this [BLEEP], let my hair and beard grow in thus resulting in the fact we’re “pieces of [BLEEP]” and it’s not the case. Truth be told our kids go to the same Schools.  Glad you have a million dollar hose.  None of us give a [BLEEP].  And the owner makes more than the people the one ones trying to [BLEEP] about when the lawn is cut.  The employees aren’t that far behind.  Don’t stop them to give them
Gatorade or water.  They good.  Thanks for letting me vent.  Not taking it out on you.

July through September is our “hell months”.  9 months out of the year and life is easy.  Anyone with a lawn guy, now is not the time to
“test” them.  Especially if they’ve been good to you.  Stay inside and let them do their thing.  [BLEEP], now is the time attitudes spark in the trucks.  Work with someone for 5 years and you hate them in August.  November rolls around a and theyre your bff

Listening to all this makes me glad I'm still able to cut my own lawn. Even if I am old, but not 'rich and lazy'.

I always make a point to offer refreshments to any construction people I might have working on my properties. Good ones are like gold these days, and you don't want to lose them.

Sheeeeeeeeeeet music.. I love my lawn guy. Dude really hooked me up when I was in the hospital for 3 months. I thought my yard was gonna go to pot since my wife was up at the hospital with me for 3 months. Nobody was really at my house. Gave him a $200 tip for all his trouble a couple of months ago.. 

And no sweat about the ventin stuff, I get it all too well lolol

Explain that to the customer once, after that the phone calls before a job is past due incur a $5 fee...easy way to supplement the income
