+1 for lockeroom culture. Already a sense of maturity there. They know it's going to take some time. But, they look a lot more competent already. Coaching staff will get a lot more out of these guys.

I was going to post a thread about him… he seems like a heads up instinctive player … and he has had his good games.. but does anyone else notice for large portion of games he is a complete non factor in pass rush? I was really hoping he would be more of a factor today and I have to say in general other than the travon sack our pass rush especially on the edge was no where to be found.

I feel what you're saying. Maybe its because teams focus so much attention on him. I wouldn't say he was a non factor but I wish he was able to get more pressures and maybe a sack. He did have that really nice play where he blew up that trick play for negative 10 yards.

He had a forced fumble and was seeing a lot of attention from the blockers sliding his way; he played well today.
Championship Formula:

1) Draft Trevor Lawrence!
2) Play good physical Defense!
3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy!
4) ???
5) Blank #2
6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Right the play on the  trick play sticks out … and I think he is a good football player … but my goodness does this team need an edge rusher In the worst way. Travon isn’t that yet he seems more along the lines of a good football player / freak athlete, but not a good edge rusher yet just due to lack of experience doing it im guessing. And Chaisson is a bust. I remember reading how this year Allen was supposed to find that dog that made him a top 10 pick off the edge and I didn’t see it today.. isn’t this his contract year too?  We can’t let him go under any circumstance as good players we draft are hard to come by, but it sure will be hard to offer him top pass rusher contract money if he doesn’t start to make his pressance more significantly and consistently felt off the edge . Not just once or twice a year he has a good pass rushing game while a most of the other games all he has is a handful of instinctive good plays.

If that’s the case is our issue Trevon Walker’s rawness as a pass rusher ? He must have been isolated a bunch of they were sliding to Allen.. he did have the sack and a few tackles but I don’t recall a bunch of pressure coming from him either … I have mentioned a few times that IMO he has a long way to go as a pass rusher. But I am no expert on that.

He was being held all day today. It was truly ridiculous how much holding managed to go unseen. Zebras must have a thing for hogs.
