Ft Myers Beach reportedly 6 ft under water in some areas. Stayed in many places down there, hope some of them survive.

I guess the new thing for these weather reporters is to wear a helmet for dramatic effect while reporting. They showed one on Fox News who was wearing a rock climber's helmet while standing in wind that was barely moving his clothes. In the middle of the report he let's out a "wooo!" and puts his hands on his knees like he's trying to brace against the wind. Good gawd.

So far I've also seen a batter's helmet and another wearing a construction helmet. It's so bad.

Can't have anyone getting concussed during the broadcast. Actually, the darker side of me would love to see a large piece of debris take out some of these reporters during thier live broadcasts. Must see TV.
