Hurts is certainly better now than he was before but this is interesting.

I stumbled onto a great breakdown of RPO by our very own Doug Pederson.

By contrast, the Jags have run RPO/Play Action less than 1/5th of their pass attempts so far this year.

Info courtesy of Pro Football Reference.  Choose "Play Type" tab.  Other cool info found there as well like pressures allowed and pocket time under "Pressure" tab.  Unsurprisingly, Jags pocket time and pressures are low due to Trevor getting the ball out so quickly this year.

That was awesome... Just shows that Pederson is a quality coach and having him here in Jacksonville is the difference maker. NOW I know why Foles looked so good before...

As someone mentioned earlier, I wonder if we see Tim Jones with Zay Jones being a little hobbled. The guy made the roster, so he's better than PS, but unproven. It would be nice to see if we have another playmaking WR in the stable.

It's possible. The focal point will be on Christian Kirk with Slay more than likely roaming along the secondary with him. Should open up some opportunities for Marvin Jones and Tim Jones for sure.

I still think this might be the game where Pederson starts rolling out more TE involvement in the passing game and I am REALLY hoping this is the week Etienne has his major breakout game. Would love to see him break off a 50 yard run or 60 yard screen play this weekend.

Just saw on nfl.com that Pederson said Zay was held out for "precautionary reasons"

Sounds like he'll be good to go

The funny thing is that he ran RPOs and play action with great frequency in Philly and they still do that even after he’s gone.  We’re not featuring that as such a big part of this offense though.  Have to wonder if it’s because they like Trevor’s abilities more as a traditional pocket passer or whether Press Taylor has a different philosophy and more input in the offensive scheme than we realize.

Or maybe Doug’s philosophy has changed. On a broader philosophical level, this offense still seems to have a “take what the defense gives you” mentality as he mentions in the video.

I think it’s along the lines of what Vic used to point out; you build your schemes around players not the other way around. That’s what seperates the good coaches from the bad.

All I can remember is 2008 off-season, hiring Gregg Williams and fans going nuts; celebrating that we would have an attack defense that Williams was famous for. Problem was we didn’t have the kind of personnel for that, and when we tried, the opponents ate our defense alive.

Looks like Maddox will be out Sunday. Thus is huge for Kirk. Maddox has been playing like one of the best nickel corners in the game. I see Kirk having a huge game now. Doug said Slay has been following the teams best WR but likely wouldn't follow Kirk if he was in the slot. Losing Maddox is a big loss for Philly being we have one of the best slot WRs in the game. Ole Josiah Scott will likely fill in for Maddox

The Eagles have not scored in the 2nd half the past two weeks. Keep them from getting off to a fast start and pound on em in the 2nd half with JRob and ETN.

The Eagles defense doubles rushing yards aloud. 55 vs 110. rushing yards aloud. Also the rain, I hope we pound and ground early and often. Just try to stay away from Davis lol

I’m sure I’m in the minority but the attempt to manufacture an emotional response with a hype video using music and video editing is overplayed and has never done anything for me. Just be ready to play and be proud of what you leave on the field. Oh yeah, and no injuries.

Looking like its def. going to rain and 15 mph wind which players perfect and right in our hands. The high winds will affect kicking and deep ball passes not to mention the rain. I feel like we have better backs and Trev is better in the short passes than Hurts. Most of Phillys big plays this year have been deep passes down field. We also have the number 1 run defense
