This was his first bad game this year. He played bad in bad weather conditions and much like the first loss he had an early missed opportunity that ultimately came back to bite the team in the end.

I am confident we'll get more of week two and week three Trevor Lawrence this year more than we'll get today's Trevor Lawence this year.

I think the team will make adjustments like they have done so far all year and it wouldn't surprise me at all if they end up beating the living [BLEEP] out of the tinhorns next Sunday at home.

We def needed to run the ball more … I thought Robinson had something going then he just vanished… did he get hurt? Also the eagles adjusted to the bad weather clearly in the first half and mashed us… we did not….


But since we didn’t elect to do that, although we should, Trevor needed to learn from the first or second fumble and over secure the ball in the bad conditions not hang on to it and hold it out there so flimsily 

Def not all his fault but he played poorly.  5 turnovers in one game is very sloppy I don’t care who you are. 

But it has happened to the best of them. so unless it becomes a trend I’m not panicking.

Rough day for Lawrence.

A wet football slipped out of his hands twice in the 2nd quarter. That's what let the Eagles back in the game. We were rolling up until then.

The INT was telegraphed and bad. Soon as it left his hands I knew it was a pick. Kirk did him no favors by drifting away from the ball instead of attacking it, but none the less, Lawrence telegraphed that throw the whole way. Nice play by Bradberry in seeing it and getting it.

Taylor got flat out whipped by Reddick on Lawrence's last fumble. Great play by him, Defenders are allowed to make plays as well.

That said...some of his throws were good and I saw 3 catchable dropped passes.  You guys are lucky to have a good, young and talented QB.

The strip sacks are tough because not every guy is built like Roethlisberger who can take hits like that but hold on to the ball. He still should have gotten rid of the ball sooner on both plays. Not sure what fooled him on the coverage without watching the all-22.

* Cannot pre-snap read the defense.  He is fooled by basic stunts.  When was the last time we say TL adjust the formation at the line?  He only runs the play called, as it is called.  Short passes work against this for a time, but DCs adjust.

* Throws late, when a receiver is already open, rather than in anticipation of the play.  This is a direct contributor to drop rate since it gives DBs time to adjust and, counter intuitively in the NFL but not in D1, increases pressure on the receiver.

* Has zero pocket skills.  He runs when he should stay.  He stays when the blitz is on and he should dump or run.

* His fit are only set when he has an utterly clean pocket.  If there’s any pressure at all he’s dancing on his toes like a ballerina and tries to make hero throws with all arm, no body.


These are FUNDAMENTAL quarterback skills in the NFL.  You can adjust play calling for a while but opponents quickly learn which plays are in your range.  TL must learn these skills and fast or his will be a backup by the end of next season.  Judge for yourself.  If you stop being emotional jackals hunting in packs any person who has a mild criticism then you won’t attract trollish behaviour.  But trolls are all you get because you behave like children.

He is not perfect at all, but to claim he has never read a pre-snap defense correct or throw a guy open, or has zero pocket skills is just a biased interpretation. There have been plays he  has done every one of those things this season and even at times last year. 

Of course he is not at the level of a MVP quaterback, and inconsistent at them. But virtually all pseudo-rookie QB's are inconsistent at them.

it's like you've never watched him play, looked up some random NFL discussions somewhere and then copied and pasted it swapping the name in it to Trevor.
