So much negative energy for a young QB less than 2 seasons in. If Mitch Trubiski, Daniel Jones, Kirk Cousins, Jameis Windows, Blake Bortles, etc, etc get 4 seasons+ to prove themselves in the league, you can be assured Trevor will get at least the same amount of time.

He threw the absolute worst interception today and got bailed out on a penalty. I will say the throw that got us down to the 35 was a beauty

Fair point. I would argue there was 2:30 when he put us ahead last week, but your point is also valid. That wasn’t a “down 4 w 2 minutes to go” drive.

I thought it was a terrible throw at first, until I saw the replay. There was miscommunication between him and his WR. Not sure who was at fault. I definitely think he needs to settle down on his passes. He throws high WAY too much for a guy with his talent.

Lawrence has plenty of time. They'll keep going after players to build around him. A receiving threat at TE and a tall, rangy receiver to work with on the outside will more than likely be their top priorities in the off season.

I still hope they can resign Evan Engram and Dan Arnold while still adding a high value pick to the group. Geisicki and Schultz are free agents as well.

I agree and one thing i do want is for us to be aggressive and go and get the players we want. Not necessarily waiting for FA and getting into bidding wars but if we see someone we like, make a trade, send a draft pick. Getting a proven player with a 3rd rounder is better than taking a chance on a 3rd rounder. Get the players they want that fit and excel in the system they want. No more square pegs in round holes.

Because it is. You cannot expect to be able to draft a sure thing QB at No 1 ever. And if you build a 0.500 or competitive  team around has-been free agents at QB, then you still end up having to trading up and guessing on prospects in the top 10, most of whom will fail. 

GMs/Teams have to shoot your shot at least some times, even if they know it may or will likely fail. You cannot just keep putting it off.

My point is those people changed their tune pretty damn fast.

Someone who stubbornly refuses to change their opinion in the face overwhelming evidence to the contrary is not commendable.

My journey mirrors many on this thread:

1. - Yeah for Lawrence
2. - Give him more time, he will progress
3. - He’s not progressing, instead seemingly stuck making the same fundamental mistakes
4. - Time is up

Certainly I reached step four (at the end of last season) long before others did, but that’s just personal difference.  A few diehards are still in step 1.  Most TL supporters are in step 2.  It seems these last few games have moved many Jags fans to step 3.  He’s dangerously close to becoming an overwhelming favourite of step 4.

Personally, I don’t think the Jags organisation will reach step four until the middle of next year.  TL is showing just enough capability to avoid the wisened leaders of the organisation making a final judgement like mine.  But they will have little choice if he keeps this up.  The interception that was fortunately overturned by an interference call was pure panicked play-making instincts.  Day one stuff that he still can’t overcome.  He needs to panic that ball out of bounds, not just anywhere his arm may be pointing.  It’s a worry.
