The Jets might start losing some more because they just lost arguably their best player.  Giants just lost 2 starters on the oline and have been without their 2 best WRs. They are getting hit with injuries but both have 2 really good teams that are well coached and should make the playoffs

Jets won’t win their division and they’ll be battling with a lot of other good teams for the wild card spots.

Giants might make the playoffs just based on how weak the NFC is this year.

Like I said, they just lost their best offensive player so its going to be tough.  If any team lost their best offensive player it would be tough.   If they didn't lose Hall they definitely would of made the playoffs.  They have a bunch talent on that team.  The Giants have a lot of talent as well and are 6-1. Like you said a couple weeks ago, you are what your record says you are remember?  Giants and Jets are 2 good football teams with a lot of talent on both sides of the ball

One positive that we unfortunately abandoned yesterday was getting Engram and Arnold involved with some clever play calls on that 1st great TD drive. After that, poof, they disappeared with the exception of another catch or 2 by Engram. Pederson was famous at getting the TE regularly involved in Philly, but here it just seems like an afterthought. Granted, he had Burton, Celek and Ertz, but which of them were well known until Pederson began utilizing them? Just another interesting Pederson trend.

I like this team. I like them a lot.

There are less holes here than on the Steelers roster imo. They are still 4 starters away from making the playoffs though. DT, CB, Leading Wide Receiver and another CB.

I think the Jags OLine is a net positive, as are it's safeties, middle linebackers, QB and running back. IMO every other position is open for an upgrade though. (including the defensive coordinator)

I like this team.  I like them a lot.

All of this changes though as soon as we enter next year's off season. Notable free agents entering the market from our current roster next year:

Offense:
Marvin Jones - WR
James Robinson - RB
Jamychal Hasty - RB
Evan Engram - TE
Dan Arnold - TE
Chris Manhertz - TE
Jawaan Taylor - RT
Cole Van Lanen - G
CJ Beathard - QB

Defense:
Dawuane Smoot - DE
Arden Key - DE
Tre Herndon - CB

They also have to make some decisions with Griffin at CB and Jenkins at Safety in the secondary potentially. As well as what the plans are in the long term with Josh Allen. They're either extending him or shipping him off. 

Not sure how the staff will look next year. Doug may very well look for a more seasoned veteran with more experience calling a defense at the NFL level if Caldwell cannot figure out what to do with this current roster. 

Entering next year though they have a lot of positions to backfill. This is all after they just spent a record amount of money in this year's free agency market. 2 - 5 is not pretty. Defensively they've really [BLEEP] the bed as of late as well and that's predominately where the money was spent. 

I don't envy Doug Pederson and Trent Baalke at the moment. A lot of this will fall back on Doug and Trevor developing consistency on offense and having to play damn near perfect at this point the rest of the way this year. Highly unlikely but going into next year it's going to be on them to keep the team afloat. Play calling has to get better. Lawrence has to improve his accuracy downfield.

I don't think so. I think the play calling, in fairness, it's been effective enough to get these [BLEEP] into position to score and 9 times out of 10 somebody [BLEEP] up a good looking drive. Happened in week one on the road early against the Commies. Happened at home against the tinhorns. Happened a lot on the road in Philadelphia. Happened yesterday against the Giants. 

Doug is putting them into a position to score and they either turn it over inside the red zone or just can't execute by hitting the passes that are there when the play is called or by dropping what should be a routine lay up pass at this level by now. My only complaint with Doug at times is his aggressiveness with a struggling offense where he goes for it on 4th down. 

Really should just take the points if they are there for the taking. If your offense is struggling to get it done on downs one through three and you're within field goal range? Take the [BLEEP] points. That's all I am asking for. 

I will say, he does have a bad habit of drifting away from what's working and then stalling out the offense. It's almost as if he's over thinking it or out smarting himself and expecting his opponent to stop what was working earlier before they can even prove that they can [BLEEP] stop it to begin with. It's desperate for big, chunk plays. 

I think he shines more when he's calling the boot legs, the screens and WR reverse runs more than anything. Do some more of that. Start letting Lawrence do some of that running stuff that he did on the road back in week six. Just stick to that. I am honestly getting tired of the shotgun formation every week or the empty backfield stuff. 

Again, nit picky on my end. There's some situations where I want to strangle him and beat him with his clipboard but, for the most part? He really is calling fairly decent games and he's putting these guys within scoring position. They just clam up really bad and make mind numbing mistakes with the football inside the red zone. That needs to stop. Seven weeks of that [BLEEP] is enough already.

ALOT of Jaguar Fans doesn't get this. It's the Here and Now for them because of the past ten years. You Must understand that true success will take time. The system and the team is still young.

We have been saying this for the last 2 decades.   The future is always bright, At what point do you quit looking into the future and look at the present ? You know who else has 2 of the youngest teams?  How come they arent using this excuse. The Giants and the Jets.  Giants have a first year head coach and a new system, Jets with a 2nd year HC.  We have a 2nd year QB that has elite talents, a SB winning coach and set the FA spending record with veterans. Yesterday wasnt their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th game together.  We had 4 Preseason games as well where the starters seen a little action in every one.   

I'm sure that you understand the process BUT it's O.K. to vent your frustration.
