I don't think I've ever seen a worse officiated game.  Almost the entire game, bad calls and no-calls were having a huge impact.  It was really biased against the Jags for the first 59 minutes of the game, then at the end it was as if the refs decided to try to even it out and questionable calls started going the Jags' way.  But it wasn't enough of course.  

I feel like we need a PFF for refs.  Where they could grade each call and see which teams are getting screwed and which aren't.  Every single fan feels like their team gets the shaft, and I would pay for someone to objectively put it out there which teams are actually getting it.

It was like the ref was in the huddle and celebrating with the offense when they scored TD's. Just doesn't seem professional at all. Even Boomer Esiason called out the officiating during the half time show on CBS. I'll never forget what he said. I appreciate him for calling that out.

You can even go back and listen to Marrone [BLEEP] and complaining about the bogus PI call on Bouye before half time. Not to mention on our previous offensive possession they allowed Bortles to scramble and hit Lewis on a critical 3rd down conversion pass and then they flagged us for false start or some [BLEEP] like that which is SUPPOSED to be a dead ball flag. You don't let that play out the way they did.

Then, here it is now just being reported from ESPN. The NFL is going to review refs in uniform seeking out Buccaneers WR Mike Evans' autograph after Sunday's game.

How about our center getting called for illegal player down the field.... The announcers were like I didn't see it...so I rewound the play... he was literally blocking at the line of scrimmage the whole time.... Never moved more than one yard up the field.... and got called on a penalty for being downfield

This was the worst call they made.   Completely bogus.

I was watching Pederson on the sideline [BLEEP] out the ref on the bad spot.  The problem was he didn't start laying into him until after we turned it over on downs.  Not that it would have made a difference.  He might should've challenged it though I'm hearing that there may not have been a good camera angle to make it happen and he may have been advised of that from the booth.

Actually, I looked at this frame by frame and it looks like his knee may have touched the ground just outside the 20 yard line with his back towards the first down marker and then his momentum carries him past the line to gain.

It's hard to see but if you look at the frame when his knee may have touched the ground, he hasn't gotten his body turned around and he would have been short. So it makes me believe the ref did think his knee touched the ground on the 20 and spotted it short based on that.

I know twitter doesn't provide the highest resolution or frame rate, but it looks possible his knee did touch the ground early and it was actually a correct spot.

Also, players are blocking the camera view of the crucial moments where his knee might have touched the ground until after he crosses the line to gain. It would be pretty much impossible to overturn the call due to the obstructed camera view and the ref having a perfect angle from only 5 yards away.

Not challenging seemed like a head scratcher at first, but when you notice the giant's players in the way of the camera angle, you realize it would have been a waste of a timeout.

And what about the next play when he was clearly over the line on that one.... And there's cameras in that pylon it would have been nice to at least see a camera angle from that view during the game but there was literally nothing

The Jags had something like 13 penalties in the game, the Giants had many fewer. The funny part is if you look at the Giants Reddit they thought the refs were [BLEEP] them over, too.

I think Giants had one holding/illegal contact on the last drive, but really they should have been called for them through the whole game.

I think part of the problem is inherent to the modern football itself. There are too many rules, and too many penalties happening on every single play. This makes the enforcement of penalties seem quite arbitrary. Attempting to eliminate rules and simplify them would be the best way in my mind to improve officiating.

There is a theory that bad calls equal out over the course of a season. This may be true but in the course of a particular game, this can influence an outcome in one direction or the other. Also to keep in mind is that less media friendly teams tend to end up with the bottom of the barrel officiating crews, it's just the nature of it. If the team gets better, they'll be on national TV more often and get better crews. At least, that's the theory, lol.

They had back to back Def. Holding/Illegal use of Hands, and then later a 15-yd roughing call on our 4th down conversion.
