Maybe he actually has an injury, and it effected his play.

Then he shouldn’t have been on the field.

but but this means I can't outraeg on a comment section! I mean, I don't think players ever try to play through pain. Never!

some folks gotta justify their angst I guess.

You and I both know that that is not how shieldball culture works. If you take yourself out of a game, you're not gonna see reps, contracts, or even friends in the locker room.

The mantra is to tough it out and stay on the field. Remember when Tua played 4 days after getting knocked silly? Shoulda sat himself, right? Why didn't he? Because it's a thing to project the image that you are bigger than the injury, that you can tough things out and help the team.

Add Minshew to that.

I'm really not a fan of Pederson saying one thing and within a day another thing emerges. Happened with James, now Shaq. Seems very snake-like to me. I'd rather a coach that is up front and honest with everyone, especially his fans. I understand its business, but makes it hard for me to like him.

It is indeed very possible.

His poor performance in several games last season suggests it may be more ability than injury at fault, but it is most likely some combination of those

No good coach will be "honest" about injuries with any reporter.

Did I miss a roster move, or are we currently at 52 players?

FYI - on Tevaughn Campbell:

In 12 starts for the bolts in 2021 - he allowed 44 completions for 558 yards.

So - a Herndon/Williams combo and shift is likely still our best option to replace Griffin.
When T Campbell was scouted coming to the NFL from Canada - his ability to play press man was noted but also called "inconsistent." So having a guy that can play man and disrupt routes early may have been part of the goal here.

Griffin was placed on IR, and Robinson traded. Unless I missed something, which is entirely possible, we still have a vacant roster spot even with the signing of Tevaughn Campbell.

Hmm, you’re right. Snoop Conner was already on the roster but just wasn’t active for games.

Sweet.  It looks like we may be able to sign another player off of another teams practice squad.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

Everybody plays with aches and pains. If you’re on the football field then you have to produce and make plays. Period.

If his injury was bad enough to hurt the team then he shouldn’t have been on the field. I didn’t see any signs of an injury or a limp or anything of the sort.

He was yanked from the roster and basically cut right after the ball game. Going on IR after a performance like that is a gentlemans way of getting cut. Griffin will never play another down for the Jaguars.
