Trump starting in on Ron
|
Trump did that last election. He just throws [BLEEP] at the wall. He'll see it didn't get any play, and he'll try again with something new. He'll stick with the first gimmick that resonates with the people.

He just identified the snakes in the grass or the RINOs that need to be put out to pasture.(11-07-2022, 05:21 AM)p_rushing Wrote: Except this isn't real. There is no direct link to DeSantis right now. There may or may not be someone within his team that has been talking to them though. The next day Trump talks great about him at the rally in Miami. It wasn't a real callout, he was just doing it for the affect. As for DeSantis, there are some questionable stuff in his past. He isn't stupid and has shown a little too much soft skin and RINO tendencies in the past. He switched to being more conservative and using Trump's style when the climate changed. So which one is he? His actions look great right now but not 100% sold on him. He's not like Rubio or the other RINOs I don't think but not sure he won't just move back to the center. Sent from my SM-T970 using Tapatalk

Not as funny as Pocahontas or Little Marco or Crooked Hillary. From the Wall Street Journal: "But the main reason it flopped is that Mr. Trump didn’t know his audience. It’s no secret that what his supporters like most about Mr. Trump is what Lincoln said of Grant: He fights. But they don’t want him to fight a successful Republican governor who has an impressive record of fighting for many of the things they most care about. "The timing was also off. Republicans, including many who twice pulled the lever for Mr. Trump, have now had a taste of what a Democratic White House and Congress mean for them. The last thing they want is Mr. Trump turning his fire on people they regard as members of their own team three days before what looks to be a Republican wave election." "Indeed, the most bitter criticism is coming not from the press. The press would like nothing better than to stoke a Trump vs. DeSantis insultfest. To the contrary, Mr. Trump’s problem now is that the criticism is coming from people who would likely vote for him again if he were the 2024 GOP nominee but are also open to Gov. DeSantis."

Regardless of one's stance on the 2020 election, this sort of behaviour may end up turning Trump into the Republican version of Hillary Clinton, meaning that he's not going to know when to lay low and work behind the scenes for the good of his party (assuming you considered Trump a 'Republican' to begin with). However, the above comment by p_rushing makes some sense as well, and that this was a trial balloon to out RINO's. And of course, we can never rule out the ego of the man, which is probably a huge factor here. In any case, the nickname was a stretch, and it didn't land, IMO.

Heading to vote right now. Think I'll write in DeSantis just to confuse the matter and hope to add to some controversy.

I don't know if the average Trump supporter knows what it means or not, but your very statement assuming that they don't sounds pretty sanctimonious to me. Cast the beam out of your own eye and then maybe you can see clear to remove your brother's speck.

Did you honestly feel you needed to cast a positive vote for Biden/Kackala? Good God, man..... So you voted against policies that were actually for America because Trump is an [BLEEP]? You voted for Biden knowing he is a senile old man who can't remember what day it is? I loathe Trump but I'll consider him over any democrat. That party has been hijacked by the progressive left and their mission in life is to run this country into the ground. If it comes down to choosing DeSantis or Trump, DeSantis wins every time.

Unfortunately he is idiotically influenced in his decision making by the far left and cannot adapt to current situations (e.g. drill drill drill) so he's been a disappointment on certain policies. Still not sure what the Inflation Reduction Act does to reduce inflation either ... pump $$ into the economy only to have the Fed raise rates to slow the economy. Although, driving rates down to 0% and issuing checks to dead people weren't the most brilliant actions prior to Biden either. Finally, thank God those students drinking $7 IPAs are getting $10,000 knocked off their debt as well. It should be any Republican over any Democrat and DeSantis over Trump. In that order. For Dems it should be any moderate Dem over any bat [BLEEP] insane Preogressive then any Dem over Trump.
