I'll never vote democrats but I promise I won't vote Trump.

Trump knows the RINOs are doing this. They are trying to find someone to run against Trump. There have been leaks from fundraisers and other types and the info has gotten to Trump. So Trump puts on an act and calls him out on it. Then watched what happened and who reacted. He just identified the snakes in the grass or the RINOs that need to be put out to pasture.

There is no direct link to DeSantis right now. There may or may not be someone within his team that has been talking to them though.

The next day Trump talks great about him at the rally in Miami. It wasn't a real callout, he was just doing it for the affect.

As for DeSantis, there are some questionable stuff in his past. He isn't stupid and has shown a little too much soft skin and RINO tendencies in the past. He switched to being more conservative and using Trump's style when the climate changed. So which one is he? His actions look great right now but not 100% sold on him. He's not like Rubio or the other RINOs I don't think but not sure he won't just move back to the center.

Personally, I like DeSantis because he is one of the few that doesn't bow to Trump.   DeSantis could beat Biden in a landslide right now but Trump and Biden result would be a coin toss as most Dems would be energized just to come out and vote against Trump.

I can see myself voting DeSantis but never Trump.   Many center-Dems feel the same.

I voted for Biden and there is only one way I'd vote for Biden again: if he was running against Trump. Not proud of my 2020 vote, but I don't regret it either.

I voted Biden #1 to get Trump out and #2 because Biden is more center than most Dems.  Unfortunately he is idiotically influenced in his decision making by the far left and cannot adapt to current situations (e.g. drill drill drill) so he's been a disappointment on certain policies.  Still not sure what the Inflation Reduction Act does to reduce inflation either ... pump $$ into the economy only to have the Fed raise rates to slow the economy.   Although, driving rates down to 0% and issuing checks to dead people weren't the most brilliant actions prior to Biden either.   Finally, thank God those students drinking $7 IPAs are getting $10,000 knocked off their debt as well.
