PFF Offensive Grades

It's no surprise that Lawrence and Kirk were the stars of the offense.  One big surprise is the rookie Luke Fortner with a 80 pass block grade. He was 3rd best on the team according to PFF.  Most of the offensive graded pretty poor outside of the 3 mentioned before.  Scherff played his worst game here. I think overall Scherff has been overpaid for his performance this season.

Sad when all OL rank less than 65. The right side was terrible all game

All three guards we cut are ranked higher on PFF than Scherff this year.

If you think those pass blocking grades are bad, wait til you see the run blocking grades!

Just a bad game all around for the group.  They've had better run blocking games than this.  We've been upset about the run-pass balance, but, given how bad the run blocking was, no one's bringing that up this time.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

Within this season, its probably fair to say that we have improved on offense, but regressed on defense.

As a team?
Improved as of the 1st quarter, going 2-2.
Regressed badly in the 2nd quarter, going 0-4
1-1 in the third quarter. We'll see.

Overall, they have regressed, based on how they started. Yeah yeah, improvement is relative, based on whatever benchmark you choose. Based on record, it's regression.

And the AFC West is a weaker division than any of us would have thought, myself included. The Clots can go 4-0 if they can beat the Chargers on 11/26. We should be 3-1 against them. No shame going 0-4 against the NFC East tho. At least not this year.

It should have never been a penalty. TD should have stood.

It looked like the play was by design, and not a scramble and we've seen similar called plays this season. Maybe Trevor changed it and Cam didn't hear, or maybe it was just a scramble play and could never succeed since Cam was always going to go down field. Either way we saw multiple ineligible down field penalties in the game, so there's something going on that might be correctable.

ehhhhhhh Gotta know when the play call is RPO to keep the blocking within a specific range. If you see the RB in your periphery, sure, move downfield and make a block if you can.

It was a play from the 1 or 2 yard line. No need to be 2 yards into the EZ trying to find someone to disrupt. That's common sense.

Coach taking up for a player who lacks great awareness.
