Trevor Showing What is to Come

The Jaguars have lost 5 games so far this season in which they were tied or held the lead in the fourth quarter. In several of those games Trevor had to lead a TD drive to get the team to that lead or that tie during the fourth quarter.

I get that you're a troll, but Trevor has played well enough to win more than three times this year, which is why wins are a team stat, not a QB stat.
Let’s be real. The Jets are still salty that Frank Gore (all time Jags hero) helped them get the #2 overall pick.

Gore might not make it into the hall of fame, but he's in mine for that late season resurgence.

Still remember that video of the 2 Jets fans getting so angry with Frank Gore for getting the 1st down that won them the game. Wanted him cut for it!

We may have to put him in the Pride some day.

He and Morten Andersen get their own non-jag places of honor

Brother, let's put this in perspective for a moment. In 2017 we won in spite of Blake Bortles, now if you compare Blake Bortles '17 season to Zach Wilson this year Blake Bortles is a damn hall of famer in comparison.

What's happening with Zach Wilson is a prime example of why character, maturity, and good judgment should count a lot when evaluating a QB prospect. Zach Wilson is getting roasted in New York for not taking any responsibility for the offensive failure in the loss to New England. "Do you feel like you let the defense down?" "No" was the answer. And now there are reports of his Jets teammates getting fed up with the lack of accountability.

Contrast that with Trevor who has stood up on that podium after every loss and said "I need to get better." Or "I need to play better." It's an important leadership trait- to take responsibility for failures, to show accountability.

Wilson has some good weapons around him.  Garrett Wilson,Breece Hall, Corey Davis, Elijah Moore is a talented young group.  There's not much reason for Zach Wilson to struggle as much as he has.  Yes, he's still quite young...and that's usually a factor, but he's got help on the roster.  It's not as if the team was guilty of neglect.  Wilson even had the "luxury" of playing in the same offensive scheme for two years in a row.

Trevor Lawrence had one of the worst head coaches in NFL history in his rookie year.  He had very little surrounding talent his rookie year compared to ZW.

Your observation about QB character and maturity is especially true in Wilson's case considering he's in Mew York and as it stands nw, he's got a team good enough to contend.

Too bad we need more Jaguars worthy if such an honor.

It's hard to watch the two and know that Wilson is actually 2 months older than Trevor. It's a night and day difference between their maturity levels

Not only from a character/maturity perspective, but from a player development perspective.  As I recall, Zach Wilson had one full year as a starter in college.  Trevor Lawrence had three years as a starter at Clemson.  If there is a successful emphasis on offense by the Jaguars this coming offseason, the difference between Trevor  Lawrence and Zach Wilson will be undeniable.

Not a single person has said that until you, so yes, you are the guy with the bad take(s) - that one can be added to the pile.

It seems like Fields has what it takes. I didn’t reAlize he could rush like he has been. However, for a long-term QB, I still go with Trevor. I think Trevor can use his legs a little more than he has, but I’m okay with him not overdoing it this year since we are out of playoff contention essentially.

I can't wait to see Oz's spin on this since wins are the end-all for QBs.  Somebody needs to contact the Jets brass and let them know.

100%. Houston looks like they'll be picking #1 and they are going QB.
