Or we could compare Trump to Al Gore. Very difficult to compare a candidate for governor to a candidate for President, though, what with the electoral college and all.

Right. Now we're having a debate about the degree of election denial. Got it.

Personally I don't care about a candidate saying they think they won and there was some kind of problem, like Republicans doing everything they can to suppress minority turnout. What I do care about is people attempting to overthrow democracy, which is what trump tried to do and what Kari Lake said she'd do if she got to be in charge. A quick Google search would satisfy your curiosity. If Republicans were to make similar accusations about democratic controlled areas I'd be willing to listen, but I can't recall them. When I hear Republicans complain about elections it always boils down to "the wrong people are voting", and they need to come up with ways to stop them from doing so, not that their ability to vote is being suppressed in some way.

Actually I didn't make any assertion, I noted an assertion that wouldn't particularly concern me. As noted, if you're curious about the arguments some democratic politicians have made over the years they're easy to find, knock yourself out. We show less advertisements to registered users. They've enacted laws like "you can't hand out beverages to people waiting in line to vote" which are silly, certainly don't make it easier to vote, but really don't make it much harder either. Both parties use this issue as a smokescreen and fundraising tool.

If you have a problem when a team with water coolers shows up at the voting place in a heavily Black area, then get a team together and hand out some bottled water near your own voting place. That said, there are examples where a county would kind of intentionally make lines longer in poor urban areas as compared to suburban areas. But ever since early voting became a thing, long lines anywhere are much less frequent. Plus the feds have a whole division in DoJ that looks into the precincts and the staffing plans, before the election even happens. If they see a place looks understaffed, they quietly let the local officials know "I see that.." As I said above, in many areas, north and south, historically, it was stereotypically the Black people who ended up in long lines to vote. Precincts in white areas were staffed adequately and efficiently while precincts in Black areas often were not. There has been a lot less of a that the last two decades, but, people remember.
