Good stuff,
He is obviously getting a great feel for the windows deep down the field and throwing with great anticipation and confidence . because he has so much arm talent he seems to be passing up some easy underneath throws still. For example that last touchdown maybe a darn near walk in and not in need of such a dramatic catch if he hits the uncovered flat route as mentioned in the video.. but it was a hell of a throw that he throws with great anticipation and ball placement. I wonder if we see him start to take some more checks as the year goes on or if that is going to be the final thing to come in his development? When you have so much arm talent it must be difficult to settle for those underneath routes when you feel like you can complete those tight window balls down the field. And he did a bunch in the last game. I would venture to say although not certain that a large portion of games where we go three and out or struggle to move the ball for a chunk of the game there is probably an easier throw to be had somewhere. But hey I absolutely love where he is right now… I think we have a really really good one who is going to continue to show big things and give us a chance to win ball games in the end. And who has the work ethic and smarts to keep getting better and better . Exciting stuff with Trevor very glad he is a Jaguar.

If he misses the throw to Marvin Jones, or if Jones was ruled out of bounds, Trevor still has 14 seconds left and he can get 3 more plays off in that time span. So the throw to Marvin Jones was the most risk-free of all the opportunities he had at the time. With 14 seconds left, and no timeouts, he absolutely had to go to the end zone. By the way, one of the really great things about that play was that we didn't spike the ball to stop the clock. We lined up and ran a play without letting the Ravens' defense regroup. That's a little added bit of brilliance. And damn, if next year we get a downfield threat who can win 50-50 balls, guys will be open all over the field.

The corner was in man coverage with his back turned and the safety was in the Endzone… at the very worst he gets out of bounds at the one or two yard line with time to still run another play but he probably scores as no one would have had vision to tackle him other than the safety who was massively out leveraged. Quick uncovered throw to the sideline with a busted coverage due to the hurry up. Needs to develop a bit more in his pass rush arsenal but is more polished in the regard then Trayvon Walker was coming out in that regard. Not as athletic and explosive as Treyvon though IMO. I always wondered the wisdom of spiking the ball to stop the clock unless maybe it's to stop it for the last play of the game... I mean, you have to line up to snap the ball anyway, so why not have a play in the bag and run it? Just have to make sure it's a sideline route, and if it's not there right away, just throw it out of bounds. And yeah, there's always a real chance you catch the defense a bit out of breath. The thing I think I like the most about that drive is that the team didn't look the slightest bit frantic out there - it felt things worked just like they were supposed to instead of looking like they got lucky. Good stuff.

Or would you go a different route? I think he is worth a late first - early second … but to be honest I don’t know too much about the draft class coming out and what other options are going to be available in the 8-15 pick range which is where we are probably going to be picking it seems like.

I looked at it again, and there is a safety on the goal line who could have come up and tackled the guy in the flat. There's no reason to throw it there when you have a free play into the end zone with minimal risk. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
What was crazy about that game was the anticipation from Trevor. Hasty throw, it was in the air before he was even open same with the Marvin Jones last play and the zay before that.
Even Kurt pointed out I have no idea what he say enough to throw that ball between 3 DBs. Trevor has faith in his WRs to win which is huge growth.
Lawrence has settled down and he’s letting the game come to him. He’s going to his 2nd and 3rd reads. He using his legs, his arm strength. Confidence is sky high.
