Marvin's already made bank on previous contracts, and this team (and Lawrence particularly) looks like it could be ready to really take off going into next year.  I wonder if he would take something close to league minimum to stick around and continue catching passes from Trevor?

League minimum?  Lol, cmon man.  Before the season they did a best contract in the league right up and Marvin was one of them.

He will have to sign a new contract if he's playing here next year, and the Jags don't have a lot of money to throw at him.  And it looks like we will have at least 3 guys who are better than him - he'll probably have to take a pretty big discount to continue as a Jag.  Who know's.. He may want to look for one last big contract instead though.  I doubt he'll be able to get one like that here again.  I like Marvin, great hands and can make some clutch catches, but he has almost no run after catch ability.  If we spend free agent money on a receiver, I would rather it was spent on Engram.

I know we don't have the money but he's not going to take league minimum lol.  He might go to GB, I think the Paclers would be a great spot for him

Since the preseason Ive always felt like Trevor and Zay had great chemistry on and off the field. This was a terrific add during the offseason. He is a pro and does his job. We are 1 piece away from having a very good WR corps. Hopefully it's Ridley who is that missing piece.

"Close" to league minimum isn't exactly league minimum.  Do you purposely change things up so you can argue more vehemently against it?  Or is it a reading comprehension thing?  What's your deal, bud?
In any case, it's not likely at all, and I'm not Even trying to make a case that it is.  Chances are extremely high that Marvin plays elsewhere next year, UNLESS (notice the very large 'unless' in this case) he gives the Jags a big, fat hometown discount.

Its close enough.   What do you consider "close to league to minimum " for some home team discount?  lol.  I'm not arguing against I just think it was funny being he was mentioned as one of the best team friendly deals the last few years at 7 mil per year.  I'd love it if he would do it.

We aren't going to have all of our current WR's next year. We'll have Ridley, Kirk and Zay for sure. Zay has been our most consistent receiver this year. What is Marqise Lee doing these days?

Zay Jones already has a career high in yards and there is still a quarter of the season left. Was a really good pickup by Baalke. Kirk and Engram as well

You certainly get a ton of credit here.

He’s been much better than I expected and proves me wrong almost each week. Happy to be wrong!

I do think Trevor has played a big part here though. He’s making everyone look better than they actually are.
