Never gave a reason, but my guess is he maybe couldn't see Engram's knees and thought they touched down? Here's a replay of it.

My apologies I was asking why they did say he made out of bounds after review. I am happy no doubt just couldn’t tell from the angle

The camera from the opposite side was very clear that he only touched the ground with his palm before his elbow hit out of bounds.

all those planks in S&C helped prevent anything else from touching in bounds.

One hand was in, other was out.  The sideline ref thought he had a knee down inbounds but he didn't.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

What a great game. The team showed incredible grit today.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

So many great plays during the comeback, but id have to agree that this one was the reason that we had the option of hitting the next play over the middle and calling timeout with time still on the clock to set up the FG. We dont have that extra 4 secs or the TO otherwise, and would have had to chunk the hail mary. Sadly due to work i only saw the last 2 mins of regulation and the OT but that was enough!

This is really starting to feel like 1996. Deja Vu all over again.

Best win I can remember

The Morton Miss was better. So was the squealers on Monday Night. You weren't here then though.
Way better.  Put the Jags into the playoffs.  So unexpected.

They did try to explain a possible reason. They mentioned that the clock does keep rolling if forward progress had ended the play. However, the ruling on the field was not that the play was stopped due to forward progress, but because he was down inbounds. And forward progress is not reviewable, so they could only look at whether he got out if bounds or not.

Yeah, I was at that one too, and up until that last missed kick, it was a miserable slogfest that we seemed destined to blow against a terrible team.  Sure, in the grand scheme things, a bigger moment in time with the Morten miss, but yesterday's game was probably the most incredible game I've ever seen in that stadium.

Wasn't at the stadium for the Steelers game... You talking about the Chris Hudson return/Bill Cowher wanting to punch him game?  That was awesome too...  I had a lot of money on that game, and if Hudson had decided to be a good sport and run out of bounds, I would have been badly burned.  That was the last time I ever bet on one of my teams.  Winning but still losing would have sucked - winning is enough Smile
