Trevor Lawrence: Franchise QB (TL Discussion, Merged Threads)

But we also saw the above the X's and O's throws on occasion that CBJ refused to acknowledge and called us all nuthuggers for even mentioning. And now he's trying to re-write history, and you are helping him! Spare me. You can't cherry pick a couple of things and rewrite history. Like Trevor, I remember everything, and I remember pretty much any time someone tried to point out something positive that Trevor did in defense of your takes, it was "Trevor can do no wrong with you people" and then we were just a bunch of nut-huggers. So please, once and for all, cut the crap and shut up about it. Perhaps we can let it go then. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Bros... Ya'll are crazy...
I just went through this entire thread... I held out hope that Lawrence would get his stuff together. But there was literally 1 month of games that culmilated in London. Let's not pretend that even the Jaguar employed talking heads were not criticizing Trevor Lawrence after London. The entire media was calling out Trevor Lawrence. If you have been a fan long enough to have to defend Gabbert, Bortles, Foles, and Minshew, you eventually have no concept of what real QB talent even looks like anymore. And then here comes the Prince that was Promised. (Ignoring the Meyer Meltdown) We come into 2022 and he's looking good. But woah, here comes the witching month of October and it results in ROCK BOTTOM for Trevor's career. If you listen to Jacksonville media, bros, we all were at DefCon 5 to one extent or another about Trevor after Oct. 30th. Admit it. It was bad and we all knew it was bad. Matter of fact, I went from calling him the first Letter of his first name along with the definition of Legality. I refuse to call him that nick name. Since I started calling Him by his full name, the football Gods have smiled upon us. But that's not here or there. The point is that the poster you all are calling out is actually a good dude and has good takes, from what I've seen. That same poster should take the advice that he should just let it go. Whatever is fine. You owned up to it with your signature. All of us that know, now. But guess what, there are so many that need to come to Jesus that are refusing to take their whooping, and so since you are man enough to be here, you're taking their whooping for them. But, trust me... There are receipts for those dudes too. Anyways, ChrisJagBoy, you're good. Just eat the crow. And eventually the bakery will close down. Probably by free agency. :-) (I was here for TMD, ChrisJagBoy is no TMD. TMD was the worst kind of human. He never admitted to anything to the point that I don't think reality really mattered to him. I'm sure he's passed away by now. That dude was the first person that personified Post Modernism to me as a semi-young college student. TMD was the personification of "It's not a lie if you believe it to be true." Just the most absolute scum bag you can deal with) (12-21-2022, 09:31 AM)ChrisJagBoy Wrote:(12-21-2022, 12:38 AM)NYC4jags Wrote: Imma break this down for you: Point one: Blatant lie - and I've already posted the receipts on you verbatim saying these things multiple times. point 2 : You did insult people many times in the game threads and other threads. Including insulting references to "this fan base" and "this MB" Please stop lying. You know you did it. point 3: whatever point 4: 100% untrue - I am steadfast and cautious about warnings being 100% legit - especially if I have had a beef with the member in violation. You either don't understand the rules, or you are lying again. Lastly: I'm done. I won't hound you anymore. You go ahead and try to paint it like you never crapped all over this forum with horrible takes and insults. Fine. I know you did. You know you did. One friendly warning: Do not continue to slander me with lies about warnings. That is 100% untrue and I won't tolerate the slander. You've been granted a return you didn't deserve and you are insulting those who allowed you back with lies. Not cool. Not OK. That's it. I'll wash my hands of it unless you try me.
I been trying to let it go, someone always brings it up but i'm done arguing. I've made my peace on the matter. If people can't comprehend it, it's not my fault anymore.

And I said I saw VERY LITTLE REASON FOR HOPE THIS SEASON <-- theres something I can apologise for being wrong about! If only you didn't take it out of context! Whatever dude, I'm not gonna agree with any of this because it's flat out wrong but if you don't wanna talk about it, we don't have to. Been trying not too for multiple months. As far as the Warnings go you realise I can view the post and the warning.. wont go into it but almost all of them are subjective at best but we shall just let it rest there.

You changed your signature to point to your criticism. Some may want more, but you gave your pound of flesh. Just expect it to continue on for a while. Eventually it'll subside. As a 20 year old, I was in a fraternity. You get [BLEEP] on. And eventually the [BLEEP] goes down to someone else. But everyone has that moment. Welcome to your moment. Take it and move on. Or... Seriously though. Can you just leave him alone so we can stop talking about him? I come here to read discussion about the Jaguars, not chrisjagsboy. Just give him his own thread in Fargins fly bye and lets be done with it! "You harassed the board for a year saying trevor sucked"
"No I didn't I just posted his weaknesses". Round and round we go, it's exhausting and derailing almost every thread. We get it! From both sides. I'm tired of reading about it.

"You harassed the board for a year saying trevor sucked" Agreed, i'd also like to just discuss the team and what's going on with them currently.
I 100% believed that Trevor would never manage to do what he has done the last several weeks. Those backbreaking interceptions on potential game winning drives had eroded all my hope for him.
I was totally wrong. This guy is THE guy and I am stoked. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
every since the COlts game last year i had hope, he kept the team together through all the Crap. and took it on the chin like a pro. Lawrence is mature and then we started the games and he looked good but not great, and bad turnovers at bad times. i kept saying to my brother this is like his rookie, you will see a big change around week 9-11 if he is what they say he is capable of. i'm glad he turned the corner and i am glad we are playing meaningful football in Dec. never would i have thought of us as potential AFC South Champs this year. it is crazy.
great job Dougie P. (12-21-2022, 09:56 AM)ChrisJagBoy Wrote: Exactly thank you. So then only Marino, Big Ben, Luck and Watson were worth anything? You should give up on EVERY QB who struggles in their early years?!? What would you have done with Peyton Manning, who led the league with 28 INTs his rookie year?!? There's another QB who struggled mightily in his first two years. Had a 20-36 TD-INT ratio and couldn't reach 60% completion rate wither of his first two years. Looking at those numbers, what would you have concluded about this guy? There's another QB who also had a negative TD-INT ratio and <60% completion rate his first two years, and won 3 games over that time. Even worse for him, he had 3 years of professional experience before joining his first NFL team. Even now, there's yet another guy who couldn't hit a 60% completion rate in either of his first two seasons, had a negative TD-INT ratio his first year and threw even fewer TDs than Trevor Lawrence his first year. Under your analysis, none of those guys would have been worth the time to develop. Congrats. You would have trashed Peyton Manning Troy Aikman, Steve Young, and Josh Allen. This epitomizes the problem with your takes. You said "because most of the time guys who struggle, continue to struggle." What you left OUT of th equation is that most of the guys who thrive struggle at the beginning. Of the successful NFL QBs, the overwhelming majority struggled early in their careers, whether they got lots of early playing time like Trevor Lawrence, or if their coaches didn't think they were ready early and didn't play them much if at all during their rookie years like Brady, Mahomes, Rodgers, or many others. Many of us tried desperately to get you to see that. You persisted in your willful ignorance and now you are catching grief on the board. You attempted (but failed) to put things an a complete and accurate historical context. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

Up to 7. I'd put him at 6 right now over Tua but there isn't a QB in the league I'd trade him for. Allen, Mahomes, none of them.
