Transgenderism is NO excuse for murder....... As they said in the opening credits to the TV show Barretta... Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.......

First openly transgender person executed in US requested classic meal before death

Amber McLaughlin was convicted of murdering a former girlfriend in 2003

An inmate in Missouri believed to be the first openly transgender woman executed in the nation’s history requested a classic final meal and delivered a remorseful statement before dying on Tuesday.

This sets a good precedent. A crime this heinous should be punished with death, regardless of race, creed or whatever. As per the article, it began transitioning 3 years ago, long after the murder took place in 2003. It might have jumped on the trans train in an attempt to engender public sympathy and avoid the death penalty. Of course, all speculation on my part. Hope the victims family finds some closure with this.
